Local Boom Gift Shop

I discovered this neighbourhood gem of a store from the Mount Pleasant BIA. They have offer a wide variety of gift items that are of amazing quality and made by local companies. Here's my haul from today- just a wonderful selection and well priced! The owner Steven is lovely and kind- I will continue to come back and support. I highly recommend this amazing gift shop!

The absolute BEST place to get local ally crafted gifts in the city.Seriously this place never misses, the owner is so kind and friendly and his taste is impeccable. Each time I have bought something here it has exceeded my expectations. Items all offer an incredible value and have been wonderfully curated.Love supporting this store and in turn supporting local makers! Never disappoints!

I had a great experience ordering from this business online; my order was ready just a few hours after I placed it! I picked it up and the staff were so friendly - there was a minor stocking issue for one of the products I ordered and later on when it was ready they hand-delivered it to my door!This business has values beyond bottom-line profits, they support the community as well as vulnerable people within it. Everything they carry is top quality and made in Canada. I'm addition to that, the customer service is incredible! I will definitely be shopping here again.

The store owner sent me a hand written, personalized thank you card with my order to tell me that one of my items would be arriving late due to inventory issues. He sent me a free pair of socks and a bath bomb to make up for the delay! It was so thoughtful and exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

What a wonderful gift shop LocalBoom is. Right on the doorstep of Mount Pleasant and it has everything you could want for your body, home and of course wonderful goodies for your tummy.The new make up selection is all natural products too. Especially after the latest news on mascara. Thank you Steven for being so helpful and having such a variety of goodies.

I love our local Gift Shop called Local Boom! The owner Steven will make you feel welcome immediately and give you individual attention. The shopping experience reminds me of a small shop in a small town and not in bustling Vancouver. Steven is a gem with a very special store.Spending our hard earned cash will be well spent here. Carrying these Canadian products are very well thought out by Steven. Its nice to buy beauty products you know are not toxic and clean beauty. Something that we often forget to do for ourselves. We have grown accustomed to purchasing products that we used for years as big advertisers influenced us on TV and magazines.Steven has soaps to candles, beauty care to his home made brand of soap bombs to this fantastic banana bread mix (my favorite!).I really can't say enough about Local Boom. It's a wonderful gift shop where you can always find something for others or for yourself!

My favourite place to go when I'm looking to source locally made products. The items are expertly curated, the atmosphere of the store is relaxing, and Steven is a passionate, knowledgeable and kind business owner. I never leave this store without a new candle (or three) and a self-care item (hand made bath bombs, tea, candy, cards). I even get my hand soap re-fills here, now. If you are looking for a gift, guaranteed you will find something at LocalBoom. I always leave feeling good knowing that I'm supporting a wonderful local business in Vancouver.

I love this store! And I feel so good shopping here...because it's all local and Canadian goods, and sustainable...and because it's so pretty :). They have the best bath bombs - Bare Skin Bar - I've ever tried (no toxic sparkles and chemicals). The bombs are even more than just about how pretty the tub gets and how nice it smells, but the way your skin feels after too. Never had that with another bath bomb before. That's how it should be, I just never knew. And the candles and the greeting cards...so good!! Picked up a bunch of stuff for gifts and myself haha. I've ordered online from here before but now that things are opening up this is the kinda place I want to go into. The owner is so nice!!

This store smells amazing. There are so many lovely things to purchase at the same time as supporting a local business. The store owner is an absolutely delightful human.
