It took forever to call so I could get the info needed to register my online account because the automated machine sent me through about a dozen options to speak to a human. When I first moved in, they sent me paper bills by mail, but didn't include instructions to register online which requires a lot of info (invent a username, meter number, etc.). Charge a service fee for paying with credit card, which is the only option online. Terrible service provider that is stuck in the 90's. They earned the one star only because the customer service rep was good on the phone.

So glad I live in Canada and I have so many terrible companies to choose from.. these clowns couldn't run a bath. If you are a proud Canadian you are the problem. I'm so ashamed of this country and it's people. I actually called 2 times to have my service disconnected, still getting bills. Incompetence knows no boundries here

Update, service has been reliable. Electrical service was good the past 4 years but now there is power outages constantly the last 2 weeks. Usually at least 3 per day. 5 outages within less than 24 hours. Phoned and it looks like there will be no resolve.

On June 5th. I reported after-hours accidental damage to our hydro meter that caused a power outage at our home. A very helpful Niagara Peninsula Energy employee arrived within an hour and explained the process we would need to follow in order to have the power reconnected. A boom truck also arrived to assist. In cooperation with a private electrical contractor, they had our hydro reconnected in short order. We greatly appreciate the prompt and professional service that we received.

The most expensive and unorganized power company ever.They openly admit they didn’t send me bills and then made me incur interest. How to fix it? They want me to write an email despite I’m on the phone with them already.My monthly bill exceeds $700 in the summer when everything is turned off. In the winter when my heat is on, it’s around $900 +Also the amount of power outages is ridiculous and they will never reimburse you for their deficient service.
