Horrible experience,. I was in Europe and trying to contact Michelle to see how my boys were doing. She would not respond. My daughter drove over to see if everything was OK and there was no response. Could not get hold of her for two weeks and I was frantic. Other people had no problem contacting me and my daughter said that Michelle told her that her phone had been cut off. Finally my daughter insisted on entering and taking the two dogs and Michelle didn't know which ones they were.Dogs were very thin when we got them back although they had enough food. They smelled awful too.My husband though Michelle a bit odd,and I thought she was creepy and a bit scary although probably better with dogs. She'll probably blame us for all this as nothing seems ever to be her fault. You couldn't pay me to take my dogs back. Have since found a wonderful daycare/boarding place and it's like night and day.I did mention to my new daycare place about my horrible experience and they rolled their eyes and said they had heard it before.

Michelle has an incredible Doggy Day Care that my german shepherd pup loves going to. He runs up to the front door in happy anticipation of a fun, safe day. Michelle has only a limited number of dogs a day so they get individualized time and attention. She has lots of property for them to play outside under supervision as well as inside time in her home. This is not a kennel environment but a welcoming home environment. And as she is a compassionate, effective trainer as well, your fur baby will probably come home better mannered then when they left.I also take obedience classes from Michelle and my sweet pup is responding so well to her positive reinforcement motivational training style.

We love going to see Michelle! She's great with the dogs. Loving but firm, which is just what our German shepherd puppy needs. He is like night and day after starting with her and her methods seem to work wonders with our boy. She is a delight to be around and her prices are very reasonable.

I have used Michelle in the past and with our new member to the family we didnt hesitate to bring our bull terrier staffy Nico to Michelle. Michelle is an extremely loving animal person who knows what she is doing. Michelle has given us both the proper tools to help Nico succeed with his training. We get complements on Nico and how well behaved he is. We recommend Michelle to everyone we speak with. The excitement behind Nico when he would see Michelle during training classes and day care was crazy.

Definitely cannot recommend this trainer to anyone and caution you to stay away. I used Michelle for boarding and training numerous times until I got a call while on holidays from the SPCA telling me that Michelle is under investigation and that I need to pick up my dog asap or she will be removed and taken to their shelter. It was absolutely horrifying & shocking, after getting back from my trip it took almost 4 weeks to get HALF of my money back, she refused to give me all of it! After the numerous last minute class cancellations & repetitive bogus excuses for class changes I should have known & run, lesson learned!

My puppy and I are finishing up my first class with dream come true dog training with Michelle Flateely.I really liked the class and we have already signed up for the next one.I liked the fact that we had lots of practice time. As well as there were a lot of distractions being on a farm.I myself am a retired trainer and have referred dogs to Michelle over the years. Even the big problem dogs now here I am going to her classes.Michelle has been doing this a very long time. And gets results need.ed.

My husband and I have been taking our two dogs Jax (Schnoodle, 3 yrs) and Callie (Yorkie, 5 yrs) to Michelle’s dog training classes for over two years now. She was highly recommended to us through a friend when we adopted Callie as she had a lot of aggression toward other dogs and was unpredictable when walking on a leash. From the first moment I spoke to Michelle I had hope. Michelle has always been available through texts, calls, before and after classes to talk about their progress and any questions or concerns we’ve had. Michelle empowers the owners to have confidence, to understand why the dogs are doing what they’re doing, to continually assess the situation and to be proactive with expectations. We have seen so much progress with both our dogs and feel confident with the skills we have learned to set our dogs up for success. After we brought our black lab puppy, Lewis, home we soon realized that we would need some help in training him.We contacted Michelle who was very helpful and understanding.After the initial meet we decided to take the puppy class.After a couple of lessons we noticed some improvement, and with training at home he started to listen to us.We continued with some more classes and now it is a lot more pleasurable to take him for walks, as he no longer pulls me along.Training is still ongoing, but we now have the skills to help Lewis be a better behaved part of the family.Thanks Michelle

I brought my pit bull mix puppy (Rey) to Michelle for puppy kindergarten. Michelle was a superb instructor, not just in how she worked with my dog, but how she gave ME the confidence to work with my dog. I learned many skills from Michelle that I still use on a daily basis. Unfortunately I moved away so wasn't able to continue with her! But Rey and I greatly benefited from our short time at DCT dog training.Michelle clearly has a lot of experience and knowledge from which to draw when working with all different breeds and ages. I really appreciated her thoughtful assessments and advice. She asks many questions in order to get to the root of your dog's behaviours, and formulate the best solution/training tactic. She is a very patient person and clearly loves animals of all kinds.Training my dog with confidence has led us to have a great bond and understand each other better.I would recommend DCT dog training to anyone.Thank you Michelle!

I was going on a trip to Hawaii last April & needed a sitter & trainer for my dog. After doing some research on several dog training centres, I read that Michelle was one of the best here, and after reading all of the good reviews I decided to place my dog with her. When I first got my dog, it was found that she had a heart murmur which made it difficult at the time to have her spayed due to her heart condition (she was 6-7 months at the time and the vet recommended it was best to see if her heart murmur would get better after a few months as she was still growing). I told Michelle that she wasn't spayed and if it would be ok. She said it was fine as long as she was not in heat, which she wasn't at the time. So I took my dog, along with her dog bed, in to see Michelle & she seemed like a nice lady and left my dog within her care for 3 weeks. during my trip I would email Michelle to check up on my dog and see how training was going. She emailed back saying that my dog started to be in heat, and was having her period. I asked if my dog was going to be okay staying with her, and she said that it should be fine and she will keep watch over her to make sure nothing happens. After I got back from my trip, I went to visit my dog. During the visit Michelle asked if I wanted my dog to stay with me over the weekend and come back on the weekday to continue her training, I said yes. Right after I took my dog with me home for the weekend I noticed that the leash I gave Michelle reeked of a bad odour she was still in heat and on her period, so i texted Michelle about it my dog in heat and she recommended to keep my dog until she was done being in heat. Once my dog was done being in heat, I had emailed, called and texted Michelle several times about my dog continuing her training but she never replied back. This was last April and I have tried to contact her again in October and left voicemails to call me back and she never has. My dog didn't get any training done by her at all and she still has my dog bed too :(
