La Gloria Bakery
Everything looked great. We bought empanadas (de calabaza y de pina---pumpkin and pineapple). Also bought a marranito (little pig) and other pastries. When we tried it out at home, it was all hard and had no flavor. The empanada bread had almost no flavor whatsoever, I visit family often in south Texas and by comparison, this is trash compared to any panaderia (bakery) from south Texas. Almost all pastries we tried had no flavor whatsoever. Greatly disappointed. If I recall, I think Mexican Town bakery down Vernor is better than this place.

Absolutely delicious and very good prices in this old school bakery in Mexican town.The strawberry yo-yos and strawberry filled rolled cake with coconut were the best! Great prices and friendly service. The cookies and baked goods were really tasty as well! Will definitely return! Yummy!

Awesome little Mexican bakery. Everything I've had from here was absolutely fantastic. Churros are perfect, empanadas are great, the jelly roll is yummy!

Fantastic food and service. The cashiers were kind and understanding. Their food is delicious and they have a wide variety of fruit flavored jelly-filled turnovers. So delicious! Would totally recommend.

I cannot go to Mexican town without a stop at La Gloria Bakery. Everything I’ve tried is so good and the prices are cheap. I’ve tried a few other Mexican bakeries and this one is the best!

First time there. Grabbed a nice amount of goods plus beef tamales. Everything tasted great and fresh! Definitely recommend you stop by and treat yourself and check out the pics & video.

A staple whenever I visit Detroit, their bakery is simply wonderful. They offer a very wide variety of freshly made pastries and AMAZING tamales! I have to say, nothing can beat their homemade churros.
