Whitby Medical Walk In Clinic

The clinic is quite busy but I have been to many walk-ins and I find the doctors and staff to be caring, efficient and listens carefully to what you’re saying. I feel confident bringing my family to the clinic.

This is a very bad clinic to go to and despite it’s the closest clinic to my home I now avoid to go there. I suggest everyone to please avoid this clinic if at all possible. Apart from extremely long waiting time they actually close their clinic doors at 1:30 PM sharp even on weekdays.This happens to me always that whenever I go there either for myself or took my family member, they always refuse to give any medicine to cure the disease. My daughter had sever flu and all we needed were some medicine but Dr. Dieter refused even if the symptoms persisted for over five days. Her condition got worst and we had to rush for the emergency in hospital and they gave her the antibiotic what we could have got from the walk-in clinic anyways. My wife got a severe vertigo first time in her life and we went there, after long wait when she saw Dr. Nigel, refused to give her any medicine and said go home and do some specific maneuvers to fix the vertigo issue as per “YouTube instructions” he said. We came back home and did exactly what he said. My wife’s condition got extremely worst and she started vomiting and her sense of balance got completely off after she did maneuvers and once again we ended up going to the emergency to in ambulance. The doctors at the hospital were surprised to know why Dr. Nigel did not give her the Vertigo medicine and we could have avoided going to the emergency.This clinic is such a waste of time and their service is way below satisfactory. Their comprehensive review on Google is extremely bad simply because most people are not happy the way they provide walk-in clinic service is horrible

Saturday morning phone appointment with Dr. Daiter. Said he would fax prescription to my pharmacy. Nothing faxed. Spent last two days in pain. Thanks for the help.

Great staff, great doctor, clean informative the doctor I saw was Doctor Daiter! Both he and his nurse were great! Went Easter Monday, busy but only took about 20 minutes just like the receptionist said!

Poor customer service, rude staff.Seems like ever since covid they lost all interest in doing their jobs. After 2:00 they move to “virtual” which is massively unhelpful. They only adress one issue per visit, and the only way to book an appointment is to show up in person.The doctors seem to rush through patients. Feels like there isn’t nearly enough attention and care given during the consult. Patients seem to be treated as numbers - and the doctors attempt to rush through as many of these numbers as possible.The front desk is rude when responding to any questions about wait times. Ive been a patient here for approaching 10 years, but since covid struck they have gone completely down hill. I will be changing family doctors.

I don't often take time to type out reviews but I felt compelled to let others know how excellent this walk-in clinic is.I've lived in multiple provinces and therefore have had plenty of different walk-in experiences to draw contrasts against; in terms of understanding which ones are poorly run and which ones exceed expectations. The Whitby Walk-in Clinic is by far the best clinic that I have ever visited.The front desk staff are conscientious and actually friendly, unlike a great deal of other clinics. Their front desk will explain to you the approximate wait time upfront without needing any sort of prompting in order to find out. During your wait, there are many places both in their immediate plaza and nearby to spend that time... restaurants, supermarkets and big box stores as well.Once your visit with the doctor ultimately concludes, the clinic shares a space with a Pharmacy in case you need anything specific, which is extremely convenient at the end of the day.Aside from the friendly staff and convenient amenities - the real heroes of the Whitby Walk-in Clinic experience is both the nurses and the doctors themselves... Dr. Nagel is honestly the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.Dr. Nagel sincerely takes the time to listen to you, so that you do not feel like just another number. Therefore, the setting is relaxed and you never feel rushed into not fully explaining everything that you felt was pertinent to your visit. Dr. Nagel's active listening skills are also met with the fact that he speaks well himself, he explains things very well and does verbal check-ins for mutual understanding to ensure that everything is full circle before you depart. You will never feel judged by him, thanks to his warm mannerisms and utmost professionalism.Thank you, Dr. Nagel and staff for all of the help. I'll continue to tell others in-person as well about how solid of an operation you're running there at that clinic.

I came here with a severe back pain but the receptionist at the desk was very rude. I asked her about the waiting time and her response was very bad. The way she answered felt very wrong and uncomfortable. Very bad customer service.

Dr. Nagel is very knowledgeable, friendly and knows his stuff! Glad to have him available for my needs!

Whitby Medical is fantastic! They’re very friendly and the doctors have always provided excellent service regardless of how busy they are.I had a general question about something during my baby son’s visit, and one of the nurses very kindly called me after the appointment to provide me with more info. Highly recommend.
