This is truly a special place. We walked in, and instantly felt at home. Linda was a fantastic host, chatted with us for a while and. The bar has a type of character that is earned, and can't be bought. Of all the pubs that I have been to in Newfoundland, this is probably my favourite and I will absolutely be back.

GREAT place if you're visiting St John's but too over the top with the kitsch for me personally. Sad to see people have been putting their lame business cards under the plastic at the bar. That's for expired ID's!

We were visiting NL from Alabama and this pub was our most memorable experience on our entire trip. The best place to get screeched in and Linda was an unforgettable host. No bar/pub is like this one!

Linda (the owner) has so much heart for those around her, and anyone that comes is is another new friend or family member to her. Welcoming atmosphere, with trinkets from around the world and often stories along with them.Definitely worth the stop in for a pint or a shot or three.I'll definitely come back every time I'm in St. John's with a few friends in tow. The YACC community will keep coming back Linda, from your adopted cancer kids - we love you!

Linda is a beautiful lady. So glad we got screeched in here. Great place full of character. And our quidi vidi air b and b lovely landlady was serving behind bar !

About as authentic a newfoundland experience as you can get. Used to be /the/ spot of fisherman coming in. Less of that now but Linda is still a sweetheart !

Went to 3 bars on a Friday. This was far the best. You have the family feel of the place. Linda has great stories to tell, keeps you laughing. She shares what's going on in her life. The 2 neighbour's from 2 doors down that help her out are great also. If you want the small town bar feeling, this is the place to go. I will be back everytime I am in town.

Linda is a beautiful person with amazing stories, and a wonderful collection of curious antiques. Atmosphere is relaxing and very friendly and casual. A sincere gem in St. John's and will definitely be back!!!

If you're looking for an authentic screeching experience in Newfoundland - this is the number one place! From the cozy atmosphere to quirky decor, the staff are incredibly friendly and you'll find yourself staying (and meeting friends) all night! Linda (the owner) is one of the warmest, most friendly and kind people I've ever met. Can't wait to go back!
