When I ordered the Black Tonkotsu, it looked like they added extra BG oil and I thought it wouldn’t taste good. But it did! This particular bowlI had was great. They also have a complimentary salad which I thought was nice.

This is an unassuming hole in the wall place right by the covered carpark of T&T. I've been here twice. The first with a group of four. There are two tables for larger groups which can seat four comfortably. The menu has a few spicy broth options for the spice lovers. I opted for the non-spicy vegetarian option the first time and the non-spicy Miso the second. I liked that the springy noodles and the broth. There aren't a lot of ingredients in the basic option unless you include additional toppings/sides.

This place is a little tricky to find. The restaurant is on the lower level of the complex. If you miss your first turn on 1st Ave and go in on the 2nd entrance it takes you to the upper parkade so you have to get out again and take the entrance to the lower level. The ramen bowls are only $15. I find most places now charge $17 - $21. So definitely good value for a bowl of ramen. I tried the Black ramen, the broth was tasty and the deep fried garlic chips and sauce was good. I would come here again and try their other ramen bowls.

Delicious black Ramen full of Garlic flavour as advertised. I found myself debating if extra noodles was the way to go as the broth was so flavourful but by the time I’ve made my decision I was full. As a side dish I loved their tuna toro Nigiri.

Being a vegetarian, I always tend to shy away from Ramen places, given they they have a lot of meat content and have a broth that is not exclusively vegetarian. But this place proved me wrong. The food was extremely good and the Vegetarian Ramen options were spicy and very delicious. If I weren't living in the Seattle area, I would be going here more often.

I would give 3 stars or higher for the interior, variety of the menu, and the services. It was a cozy place, but the quality of ramen and the inconvenience, my experience was 2 out of 5 stars.Portion of the noodles were normal, they did their ajitama(egg) very well. However, broth and toppings were kept very minimal unless you order extra toppings (which increases to price range to $20-30 per person).Broth weren’t even filled to the half of the bowl, it’s one of a method to keep the toppings above surface but causes less portion. There was this one tiny steamed broccoli with sliced baby carrots in a ramen? both overly boiled and felt like they added to make up for lack of toppings that they add in the ramen.Unless you have a small appetite, you won’t get full from their basic order, you would have to order extra toppings, but at that point, might as well go to a different place for cheaper and better ramen that makes you full.*Beware of extra topping like black fungus or bamboo shoot because they do not squeeze out the liquid that came with the bag from factory, so entire ramen would smell funky.Charging same price as other ramen restaurants, the quality is very low. Maybe the don dish would be better than ramen even though ramen is in the name of the place.**If you experience issue with your transaction, check your bank account after because there’s a chance that they charged you twice and you would have to come back to the store to get refunded. This one was just unlucky/coincidence.

I came here as I was in the area working and read good things about the ramen. The decor is pleasant and there are several tables inside. I ordered the black tonkatsu ramen with chashu, egg and seaweed. It tasted quite good, I would say it's on par in terms of taste with other great ramen places in the Vancouver area. What I was a bit disappointed with was I felt it was a small portion. It came up to only half the depth of the bowl. I also got added bean sprouts so for $16 I felt I didn't get really good value. The washroom was decent and clean. The server came by a couple of times to see if I needed anything. If the portion were bigger I would have given it 5 stars.

We stopped here for dinner as it was closeby. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired. I think it would have helped to have some music in the background. When we entered, the tables were not cleaned and we had to stand awkwardly for the server to clean a table for us.Unfortunately, they forgot to fill our waters until we were served our meals. As for food, this place offers both korean and japanese fare. Almost too many options! The staff here spoke korean so I’m assuming it is a Korean-own Japanese Restaurant serving Ramen, Sushi & various korean dishes.I ordered the Black Ramen with a side of Chicken Karage. I was impressed by the portion size of the chicken! However mayo is extra charge. The ramen was good. I liked that it came with half a tamago without extra charge. The bowls made the portion look small. I’m still debating whether or not the ramen has an average portion or smaller. Not bad but definitely nothing special here. A decent stop for a casual dinner.

As a ramen lover, this ramen shop cannot meet my standard. The ramen is not good, it just like the noodles that we can buy in supermarket, and quantity is not enough for Asian small size woman. The pork is so thin, and not good. The only thing i like is egg.I ate a lot of Ramen in different countries, this is one of the worst Ramen shops I have ever been to.
