Was quoted one price when I had an employee come to look at the work that needed to be done, then when I got my bill it was double the amount I was expecting. They told me its Per electrician per hour. I was never asked if I wanted 2 electricians sent or that it would be twice the amount I was quoted. The workers were very friendly but were unable to find the issue causing one light not to work and one outlet not to work.Called to discuss the billing issue and was told that they would look into it and get back to me. 2 months later I still did not receive a call back, so I called and right away he started giving me excuses why it was my fault that they were here so long and that he wasn't going to change the bill to what he quoted me.Had a retired trucker come in after they had finished searching for the issue, and he was able to find out why the light was not working within 30 mins!Not sure if they train their employees properly or if they just thought they could rip me off for being a woman....but I will never use them again.Will be spreading the word never to use these cheats! This is not how you run a business.

It's sad to see how quickly people jump to sabotage a business online over one phone conversation - it has nothing to do with the quality of workmanship Bay Area has to offer their customers. There is a reason they get the business that they do and one bad experience on the phone isn't reason to go online and give a one-star rating. People these days are so quick to bash companies online not realizing the real purpose of giving an accurate review; it's the whole experience, not just an initial phone call. I know someone who has had their entire house plumbed by Bay Area and they did an amazing job, very respectful and professional. Think before you post.

If cost is a consideration, I suggest you have a very detailed discussion about billing prior to hiring them, as I called specifically to inquire and they didn't disclose that they charge 75 cents/km plus travel time at $75/hr plus shop prep time, etc. The plumber was done our job in 1.75 hours, although he took an extra half hour because there was a leak in the work, which they billed us for - 3 hours in total and well over $100 more than expected. We were surprised to be billed to redo work that had a leak +++. The km charge was more than 30% more than should have been too; they charged us for the least direct route x2. Nice to have our hot water back though!

Called Bay Area with an emergency situation we were having. Person answering the phone was very rude in our opinion and simply asked our name and told us they had no plumbers. No suggestion as to who else to call..nothing. We found a very good plumber who came right away since we were an emergency with such a fair price we were glad they didn't have anyone to send.

I'm a project manager who deals with contractors on a daily basis...i came across this company and had an absolute nightmare of an experience with the guy on the phone. immediately put a bad taste in my mouth which will prevent me from ever thinking of using them in the future.The guy on the phone was VERY RUDE, didn't listen to a thing i told him.If you are thinking of using them- i recommend calling ANY OTHER COMPANY but these guys. never experienced anything like this before

Ordered 300 foot roll of standard 3 poly septic line for cottage. Received 3" but measured on the inside not the outside. Ordering error. My cost $1800.00 they refuse to do return or price adjustment. stuck with material I cannot use and out the money. Advise - buy product somewhere else and or bring in the item you need to order."
