We have a large number of museums in Kingston and I believe the Military Communications Museum is the largest. It recently went through a major enlargement in order to house the large trucks jammed full of communications equipment and big pieces of communications towers.Still there are all sorts of human size exhibits and displays from the original museum. Much use is made of mannequins wearing uniforms and communications equipment. The First World War is also widely represented in artifacts, photographs and artwork. This visit to the Museum was part of March break. The kids and grandkids were able to make take-aways such as Murney Towers and bracelets representing Morse code letters. They could also engage in activities where they could connect electronic and electrical items to make things happen.

I happened to be in Kingston and dropped by this amazing museum. Very informative and interesting displays. Unlike the Ottawa Museum, here you feel a sense of pride and service and in telling their story. If you enjoy military history it is well worth the visit. A real Gem for sure! I was over an hour and could have used another.

Beautifully laid out and so informative! My father, as a military veteran of the communications branch was very impressed although sad there wasn’t a larger display of the Sinai mission that he had been part of back in the 1950s.

One of the most interesting places to visit in Kingston, learning stories about how Canadian military made history in communications. The museum is huge, enough for about an hour of tour, and there's a kit shop inside!

Really interesting museum of their technical wizardry over the years. We anticipated an hour here but ended up spending a full 3 hours enjoying ourselves.

It was very nostalgic to see how much communication has changed since WW1. I really enjoyed the layout and the self guided tour. Very fun would go back when in kingston again.

I gave it 5 stars even though it was closed the day we were there. Seems like it should be interesting to any signals person.

We visited on a weekday so very few other customers. Very much reminded me of days spent with my father at West Island Amateur Radio Club field days, and working on his latest amateur radio related project.
