Le Platana
I had a great experience dining here for the first time trying west African cuisine. There is a huge variety to choose from off the menu. My favourite was the beef curry with futu and the grilled fish with manioc. The meals were so good, you could tell they felt like I was dining locally at someone’s home. The owners are absolutely wonderful. Great find to explore African cuisine !

I went here with my friends (one who is vegan) and we all loved the food! We tried the new chicken sandwich and it was the best cooked chicken I've had in a long time, and the staff was so kind, generous and welcoming. 10/10 will recommend!!!

Ive had an excellent experience at the Platana. The food is incredible and very filling. I recommend the sandwiches and the plantain fries, alloco. The service is excellent as well as the staff. 15/10 definitely recommend this place for a wonderful meal and great times

Saw their add on social media and decided to give it a try.Being from Senegalese descent, I must say that I was quite disappointed by both the taste and the size considering the plate of vegan" Tchiep was so tiny for what they are charging. You be the judge by the pic attached."

Impeccable service! The vibe was welcoming and chill. Nice music, tasty food( very generous portions)and above all a great customer experience given by our hostess. She was friendly and made us feel at home". Will definitely recommend to others and be back to try the other vegan options."

I have been craving some good plantains for so long and am so excited I finally found some delicious ones! Very happy with all the unique vegan dishes and the staff is very friendly. Great juice and hot sauce!

Wow. Amazing food. I had an amazing dish with palm seed sauce and rice and couscous - also hibiscus drink. So delicious. Everything. Great patio in a really busy and eye catching part of town. Go to Cheske's sure. But first, eat at La Platana.

I went here once, and I know that whenever I am in Montreal, I will be back. The food was very flavourful, well cooked and plated with care. I had the tofu skewers with alloco and attieke. Very good value for money and I recommend coming here. I can still taste the food by just thinking about it, lol.

It took 90 minutes for them to bring 1 meal. It wasn’t even busy. I’m not about rushing in restaurants but I think 30 mins is the longest it should take. Also the red wine was horrible and cold.
