Doon Valley Golf Course

The course was in great shape but we had a terrible experience with customer service. Staff were very disrespectful and made refund promise that conveniently disappears from our file. I suppose when you are a big enough course you can get away with treating people poorly knowing it won't impact your bottom line. Will definitely never go back or recommend this course to anyone I know.

Played the 9 hole pitch and put course. $25 for a family of 4. Perfect length for the kids and for adults who want to work on the short game. City staff are always friendly.

I would give it a 3.5. We played the Classic 9 hole course. What I enjoyed were the holes along the grand river. Especially the 4th hole par 3 with the river on the right side of the green. How to improve this course...firstly and most easily clean up and maintain the bunkers. Maybe due to covid the course is not touching them. Secondly, it would be fantastic if the city could clear many of the trees and bushes blocking the view of the river. That would be incredible!! I did not enjoy the holes along the 401. Very loud with the traffic continuously driving by.

Golfed the 9 here. 2 out of the 9 holes were closed so only got a 7 in. They still advertised as 9 and didn't mention it until we had already arrived. On top of that we had two sweaters left in the golf cart which were most certainly stolen. We left them in the cart and shortly after contacted the course to inform them they were left behind. They were not helpful AT ALL in helping locate them (just told us that the night crew would check). Low and behold, the sweaters were not found. I Would never return here

It's a nice course, but not top of the line. Could invest a little more in amenities... As it is quite dated" in many respects.... But certainly good value for your money :)"

Came to this course for the first time, and I was not impressed from the start. Booked a 5:30 tee time, greeted at the door with NO CARTS charged and ready to use. The guy working at the desk says this happens everyday. If this happens frequently why is the issue not resolved? The course was very nice, but we only had time to play 8 holes as we had to walk. What a waste of money!Worst part was they couldn't even discount the pull carts. I would have brought my own from home if i was planning on walking.Would not reccommend if you are planning to use a cart as they most likely won't have any left after 2pm!

DO NOT GO HERE. Staff is highly unprofessional, stealing money by letting customers use carts but when staff feels free to close down, they confiscate the carts and kick the players off the course. Before sunset! And I am speaking about bag carts not the golf carts. Also the course in general is poorly taken care of. Not that the staff cares about this comment because I've read back on old reviews for this location and they had the same or similar experience I had and not a single negative review was responded to. I will definitely be telling others to stay away This location should not even be open anymore. Period.And if one of you shleps respond to this comment. It's just because I called out your lazy staff.

Course was in great shape, a really enjoyable round on the classic 9 which is a 7 hole currently. Starter was friendly, tee’d off at 6:50pm and rented a pull cart. Apparently there are signs stating pull carts need to be back by 8, but must have missed them. 8:15 a marshall comes by to tell us to pick up our balls midway through our 6th of 7 holes because the pull cart is past due. We proceeded to attempt to finish the hole and planned to pick up our balls then. Marshall circled back around as we were on the green to scold us at this point for breaking his trust for not picking our balls up. In the future wish there was communication from the pro shop when renting a cart with such a late tee time as I would have just foregone the rental to get a full round in had I been aware.

Good course... great value for price.Greens on some holes need work but a nice treat as it offers a separate 18 and 9 holes while also offering a driving range for warmup

So the course is decent but it's very poorly managed. Half the time they don't have carts ready for you to use. I feel this is just a product of under staffing, most of the staff is friendly but I have had one younger lady huff and puff and give me attitude that she had to do her job, also they don't take cash, which is actually against the law. And the green maintenance isn't the best. So you may be putting with debris all over green. And the tboxes are quite beat up, but that being said it is cheaper then most courses. Great place for beginners
