Never had a problem here. Great service and the help you can get through the phone lines is always good. The PAT teller is also available for personal service after hours.

The worst bank you could ever imagine. Yes they offer free checking and savings but very slow to respond to your problems. Their customer service closes at 4:30pm meaning no help after those hours.Some of their ATM machines when you withdraw money it will charge your account twice the amount and it will take them 1 to 4 business days to solve your problem.Their Mobile apps crushes very often.I really regret opening an account with First Ontario CU.

I've been a member since 1980. I've seen the customer service deteriorate slowly and steadily over the years. I've been trying for over a week to make an appointment to see somebody for an RRSP issue that has to be done in person as it requires papers to be signed. Here's the catch. It is impossible to phone the branch. Nobody answers the phone. The call centre says that Upper Sherman is Extension 3000 but that is a joke because nobody ever answers and you get bounced back to the call centre in an endless loop of frustration. So I finally had to leave my name and number with the call centre and they will contact the branch and pass on the message that I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEBODY to make an appointment. Now I have to hope that I'm available whenever somebody there calls me because if not, I CAN'T CALL THEM BACK. I was going to lodge a complaint with the credit union but that turned out to be as difficult as getting through to somebody at the branch. I don't know how many times over the years now that people have said to me why don't you deal with a bank" and I've been saying that the credit union gives better service than the banks. Sadly

Best bank I have ever belonged to. Staff are amazing people. Very polite and always accommodating. highly recommended !!!!F.O.C.U. rocks !!! :)

This location is always slow no matter how many people, also deposits of cash will have a three day hold.

The Jenn's are excellent at customer service. Most helpful.. Appreciate you ..Not being able to pay bills thru ATM anymore kind of a drag.

This applies to all branches.With the cost of living, I am living paycheque to paycheque. I work 2 jobs, the 2nd job pays cash. I've been unable to deposit my money into my bank account to cover bill payments for many months.After several attenpts to speak with a branch manager at upper sherman, I was able to have a conversation with the manager at upper james who told me the burlington locations are accessible to the PAT tellers after hours, this was not true.This bank has denied me access to my account after hours and has continued to hammer me with nsf fees. 500 dollars off of each of my last 2 pay cheques.I took a second job to help cover my bills, instead I was working to pay off nsf fees to this bank because they denied me access to my account. I had no choice but to close my account. At one point, I had my mortgage, rrsp, house insurance and my chequing account, slowly over time I moved away from this bank. Stealing money from me was the final straw.

A real hit & miss. We hold a mortgage & chequing acct here. A real true one of a kind gem Tiana used to work here. Someone who would bend over backwards for customers and always returned calls when or before expected. She is the only reason for 3 stars.If I was rating her alone it would be 5* or this branch alone a 1.3 was a balance.My husband and I were dealing with an issue on Monday this week and were told 2x Cheryl acting manager would return our call. She never did.Today I went into branch and was made to feel most unwelcome, and rudely served by Janis. Listening to her tone and talk to the older gentleman infront of me was quite cringy aswell.This is not the 1st time I have been served by an unhappy Janis. Clearly she doesn't like her job or has many off days ... and I don't go in branch much. Mobile banking app goes down very frequently. Sometimes you are not able to pay bills, transfer or even check balances for an entire day. First Ontario seems very behind in technology in comparing to competitors.Edit/ I would like to increase this to a 4star in fairness. The regional district manager has been intouch with me on her own accord to address these concerns.I sincerely appreciate a company who takes thwir own time to reach out to find out how it can make things better. Hopefully my next experiences with this brach will be better than the last few.
