A great space to work out!

Excellent area for everyone. kids live going to child minding and activities. Lots of activities for adults as well. Wish they had longer child minding hours, MMA or self defense classes for those of all ages. Also would be nice if they eventually got a pool to offer aquatic activities - swim lesson, aqua got etc.

I am a member. They would not even let a 9 yearold girl look in the gym for 2min. The employee who was clearly being lazy, became aggressive and rude. When I told her it was not the “end of the world” that she looks in for 2 seconds to see the gym. She became even more rude. We walked away. When we exited the place, I told her I would contact head office about her actions. She then threatened me back, asking the other employee to document my membership.Ridiculous. This is why this place will go no where. Every other city has a nice YMCA, based on donations and good intentions. This was not good intentions. This employee did not like that we were standing up to her rude comments and would not tolerate her useless comments. My daughter left saying you can always tell a “Karen” in action. She sure was. I don’t know what community service she is doing to make her work there but she is full on crazy.Update: After speaking to Ash De Cruz and branch manager Kerri-Anne it was not a positive out come. They stated the employee was standing doing it for safety reasons. I again informed the two of them that was impossible as this employee did this right after we told her “We are just there to look.” 30min phone call, that seemed like all they wanted was for me to take this down. The branch manager again, said how she would show “New Members the location”… again I told them, I was a member for 2 years and that was not the normal process for YMCA members going to a new location. Ash said he would call the sarnia location on my behalf, suggesting something that was again ridiculous. I told him not to do that, again had to defend myself. This is absolute ridiculous. I guess you can have good score when you call up the people who leave negative reviews. If this is again the way things are handled, no wonder the employee came swinging with no regard.I don’t know if I want to go to any YMCA any more. Its awful, I would go to all of them in London for the last 3 years. The Sarnia one is beautiful, with amazing staff. Awful this one seems to have the no appreciation for the core values down pat. Its awful these employees have taken me from a member giving away brand new $80 basketballs to young kid shooting hoops and making financial donations to not even wanting to be a member and regretting prepaying for months. Heartbreaking! I was the wrong one to do this to.All this to a little 9 yearold just wanting go see the YMCA.

Staff are amazing, friendly and personable. Always willing to help and answer questions. Excellent equipment l, well maintained and always very clean.

Orginaly from London and I've tried all the large gyms. Yes ALL. I gave up on gyms in 2019 after it closed and never opened again without notice. When I moved to strathroy I said I would never join a gym again. I had never been to the Y in the past & it's the one activity centre I've heard nothing negative about. I have a daughter and I wanted to make sure she could be there with me or the gym was open while she was at day care. I don't like big gyms or loud gyms. This is the opposite of that. It's quiet and peaceful. I go in do my weight training and leave. Never waiting around for a machine. Everyone is polite. My favorite thing ever is seeing the staff deep cleaning all the equipment with My own eyes. My only wish is that I would like them to be open at 6am instead of 7am.

For a tiny place it gets the job done. The instructors for classes are very good. It's a very positive place and kept really clean. I definitely recommend

I love this place. The staff is wonderful and encouraging. It has an amazingly positive energy. Group power is a must for anyone looking for a full body workout!
