I went to Melanie Lyne for the first time and was promptly greeted by a staff member who asked if I needed help finding anything and if I would like to put the items I was holding into a change room.I told her I wanted to browse and was not bothered at all. I looked around and ended up trying on 2 pairs of pants. One was great but the other was too big. When I came out of the fitting room, I was asked how everything went. I told her about the size and she tried to find one in the store without any luck. She said that she could order the size and ship it to my house!The order arrived quickly and was perfect.Great experience!

This review goes out to a spectacular lady called Maria that was very patient and helpful with me. I am a very picky shopper with a borderline plus size body and Maria was very understanding and pleasant with me while I drove her crazy. I will most definitely shop at that store again and make sure Maria is working that day.

For the last 2 years every time I’ve come in the the store it has been the same exact experience which is really funny. I walk in, minimum 2 employees chatting at cash, no one acknowledges me. I walk the store frustratingly searching for something for a business trip, no one says a word and they avoid eye contact. Finally I pick up 1 item and I hear “YOU WANT TO TRY!?” Being shouted across because walking over to me is too much work. I respond with “not yet” and the staff proceed to ignore me. No one offers help or asks what I’m looking for and I end up going to Femme or some other store and purchasing my suiting and dinner wear there. This literally has been the case EVERY TIME!! A month ago I walked in to buy a gift and held up a blazer in size 14 to get a good look (I’m a size 4 at Melanie Lynn) and I heard “YOU WANT TO TRY!?” Being shouted across again. They don’t even look at what you’re holding, it’s hilarious! I responded with “This is a gift” and the woman turned away and continued to chat with the other associate.Melanie Lynn used to be my favourite store for over 10 years because of the style and quality plus their evening gowns and dresses fit me so well but the experience in the store is so mediocre it’s just not worth it. I wonder how much longer untill they join the list of retailers that closed down.

Just went to pick a scarf. I love their scarves and some styles in clothing too. Not giving it 5 stars as I find their sales racks too overwhelming to browse through. Yhe racks are placed too close to each other and are over-crowded. The fresh materials are displayed nicely. The staff is always friendly. I like the fact that they let you browse through at your pace.

The manager at the Vaughan Mills location is extremely RUDE and condescending.She refused to return a coat that I had purchased 3 days ago from the Weston Road location because the tag was PLASTIC! Not Ribbon like their location ????Even though I showed her the receipt which she refused to look . After a few heated exchanges she finally ended up calling the store that I purchased it from and they confirmed that YES I did make a purchase of over $400.00 including the coat with the unfamiliar tag. She returned with her tail between her legs apologizing but it was too late i was so embarrassed with a store full of people watching her make me feel as though I was a thief. I returned everything and didn’t end up purchasing the coat I wanted . I have lived in Vaughan for over 20 years and was never treated in such a disgusting manner. I have spoken with other people and they also had similar experiences at that location ? Thankfully for Bruna and Hazel at the Weston and Highway 7 store I was able to get the coat I wanted. They were amazing and professional and allowed me to enjoy my shopping experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME calling the 1800 number or customer service . You will just get a generic message from “Igra” apologizing for your experience... that’s it !!!! I I feel that staff needs to be properly trained or just replaced. There are intelligent retail associates looking for employment that would represent your brand well . It’s more than learning how to sku product and work the cash? they need to realize that Vaughan is comprised of MANY different cultures. I have been shopping at this chain since 2004 and always enjoyed it but over the last 4 years the service at this location has been so terrible I will avoid going here unless I absolutely have no choice. Staff are always chatting behind the counter and never acknowledge me, when I ask for a fitting room they make you feel like you’re bothering them and asking for too much, they do not help you with sizes or suggest other options. Whenever something is hanging where I cannot reach it I have to keep interrupting the staff chatting and feel like I am not wanted in the store. I can’t believe they have stayed in business for so long. Don’t you need sales to pay the rent and salaries?
