If you wish to travel back to 1818 AD, please visit this park. You can see a school building built in 1818. Show it your children.

A lovely park in downtown Edmonton named for Richard Mather who was a municipal politician as well as a public school trustee.I think it's a hidden gem as it's often empty which is such a shame. A beautiful place to sit, relax and take in the beauty of downtown.Recommended for sure!

It's a pretty park but be mindful there are sometimes some sketchy seeming people using it for sleeping. Sometimes found syringes etc there.

Beautiful park that seems to be far enough away from downtown that one could go enjoy a moment during the day. Also in the park is the Edmonton 1881 school which has a Municipal Historic Resource Plaque for information. The Edmonton Public Schools Archives and Museum is also right beside. Behind this building is another informational plaque about the fire escape on the building. Would return to this park during a hectic day to relax a bit.
