I have been ordering costumes from Oya for at least 8 years now. I love their easy website and amazing customer service. I ordered two items separately, they called me and told me they would combine the shipment and refund me my shipping cost. I was grateful they caught my error. Love this company!

I was extremely disappointed as the French maid costume I had ordered was by no means as it appeared online.It was rather misleading as the quality was very poor which made the price unreasonable. In addition, the length of the dress was overly long and shapeless, unlike in the image where it appears short and full.I spent approximately $29 in total shipping costs to have it delivered and then shipped back to the warehouse the next day. Furthermore, Oya will deduct an additional 10% handling fee. In the end, I have no costume and will have ended up losing more than half of what I had spent purchasing and returning the item.

This place is amazing! Incredible selection and no problems at all when I needed to return a costume that I didn’t like. The staff are hard working, friendly, and kind. I chose this place over Amazon and am so glad I did because it also feels so nice to support local businesses :)

I had been skeptical of ordering costumes online as sometimes sizing can be off and it's a hassle to return/exchange. Oya was the first online costume order I've placed and I could not be happier! I purchased the Trick 'r Treat Sam costume for my daughter. I was sent a tracking number and reasonable estimate for delivery. The costume arrived today, less than a week after ordering it. It was wrapped in orange tissue paper with a large Oya Costumes sticker on it which was a nice touch. The costume is PERFECT!! The jumpsuit is so soft and looks like just like the pic, as does the mask. The mask is soft and comfortable to wear, and the gloves complete the look.Oya has great customer service as well. Very friendly and professional. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and will be purchasing from Oya again. I'm also more than happy to support a Canadian company.10/10 highly recommended

Extremely bad customer service. I went to pick up my white corset after receiving the message that it was ready. When I got there, they gave me my order, and I went back to my car to check if it was the right size. It was, in fact, not my size. I went back to their warehouse, and told the lady but she told me that they just put the wrong size sticker. She assured me that my corset was true to its size. However, when I went back home it was too big for me. I measured myself before ordering the corset based on their size chart, so I knew that I needed a small size. Thus, I had to drive back to the warehouse to get the right size. When I came back, they were a bit more busy. I talked with the same lady and she tried to CONVINCED me again that it was the right size. Anyone with eyes could see that it was a medium size and not a small one. She then proceeded to measure the dimension of the corset to PROVE that it was a size small, to which she realized that it was not. At multiple times during our conversation, she mentioned that some people came back to change the corset for a bigger size because it was too small for them. This information was nowhere relevant to me because it was not what I ordered to begin with. She tried to rectify the situation by showing me other types of corset, which was still too big for me because she was out of stock for the small corset that I choose. Another lady with glasses then rudely spoke to us by saying that she did not have time to spend on one order only. This was YOUR fault to begin with, YOU should have called me to tell me that YOU were out of stock for my corset. YOU wasted MY TIME by making me drive back and forth to your warehouse to CORRECT YOUR OWN mistake!

I ordered 4 items for Halloween and I was impressed by the fast shipping. However, 2 of the items were defective. The first item was a wig which did not at all look like the advertised picture, as well, it was supposed to be a curly wig but there were many long straight pieces hanging out and the hair fibers were so sparse that there were very large noticeable gaps. The other item was a sequined disco shirt which had a seam down the center of the back. On the left side of the seam , from top to bottom, there were about 2-3 rows of missing sequins, which left about a 2 inch gap of just sheer fabric. I went to the Oya website and followed the instructions for defective items by emailing them with the explanation and pictures of the defective items. It said to expect a response within 1 day. After 5 days of no response I resent the email asking for an update. I waited another 3 days but still no response. With Halloween being around the corner time is of the essence especially when when you have to consider shipping times/delays. I was simply going to ship a return but realized that wigs are non-returnable, as well, Oya charges a return handling fee and the shipping costs are on me. I am not impressed with Oya's return policy and non-existent customer service. I will not be ordering from them again.
