Fathom Five National Marine Park
The park is known for its stunning crystal-clear waters and incredible geological formations, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. One of the main attractions in the park is the Flowerpot Island, which can be accessed by a ferry ride from Tobermory. The island is home to several unique rock formations that resemble flowerpots, as well as beautiful beaches, hiking trails, and stunning views of the surrounding waters. In addition to Flowerpot Island, the park also features several other islands that can be explored by boat or kayak, including the famous Cove Island Lighthouse. Visitors can also enjoy snorkeling, diving, and swimming in the park's pristine waters.Overall, Fathom Five National Park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Canada's natural landscapes. Its unique geological formations and crystal-clear waters make it an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.

This is an underrated park, I stumbled into it while planning a couple days in Tobermory. Definitely super slow and very easy to get to. The hiking trails are moderate bring sturdy shoes. The lookouts near the water are very nice and you can see some islands into the distance. The water is nice and cool if you want to go for a dip or let your pup go for a swim. Lots of parking around, you have to buy a pass to go. Well worth the exploration, especially if you want to see a park that many people seem to overlook.

2022 July 5★This isn't just one area, the Fathom Five are the parks in the area.Dolomite, 420 million years old, rises through the sparkling waters of Lake Huron to form Fathom Five National Marine Park. This is a freshwater ecosystem of ancient rock formations, cliff-edge forests, fascinating dive sites on 22 shipwrecks, and orchid species both plentiful and rare.Visit for a day or backcountry camp on starry-skied Flowerpot Island—Fathom Five is equal parts mystery and recreation, ecology and culture—and a welcoming escape to nature.Lots to see and do in the parks near Tobermory.

Great and beautiful place at the Huron lake, very close to Tobermory that is a beautiful port with hotels, several places to eat, with a nice marina and lots of boats. The reserve has an outstanding sandy beach just a fifteen minutes drive away, with parking and services, at a very affordable price. But if you want a hotel, make the reserve a way ahead on time. These places are a hidden gem in Ontario and an unmissable destiny in summer.

As a half joke, I’ve been searching around in Ontario to find a place that can beat the “Beautiful BC” slogan; I think I just found it, here is our Beautiful Ontario! The forest here smells very good. The air is humid and crisp at the same time with a hint of pine, such a wonderful earthy odour!

A lovely boat ride from Tobermory to get here. On a good day the view is beautiful although I will say perhaps a little underwhelming. The hike itself is difficult if you're not used to it or can't climb steep hills or stairs. Definitely a must see overall

It's a very gorgeous park. Usually tickets are sold with the national park next door. You can explore the beautiful park deeply in about two hours here. If you don't want to go too far, it takes 20 minutes to walk to the viewing platform and meet the clear water of the lake. There is also a climbing tower at the entrance of the park, where you can see the scenery here. It's very worthwhile to come here. It's a highly recommended park. Before you wait for the boat for vase island to sail, you may as well spend half an hour looking at it.
