We had a wonderful time on the Island Belle Kingston harbor tour. If you don’t have time to cut out for the longer 1000 Islands tour, this will satisfy your curiosity about the city’s history as well as give a small taste of what the island tour is like. I took my two kids (11, 13) and we all enjoyed it very much.

We went on the Christmas Light Tour. I really liked our tour guide/trolley driver. He took us into neighborhoods that you wouldn’t know to travel to yourself necessarily. However, I really think they should discount their tickets after 12/25 or 12/26 though. My impression is that many lights had been taken down by 12/31 during the tour we went on. He threw in an extra neighborhood, but honestly after neighborhood #3, I didn’t see anything new or more exciting than the previous ones. I would say each neighborhood averaged 1 exciting light display. The rest weren’t all that special or different.I recommend going before Christmas to see the most exciting lights. I do think it is worth the time and money pre-holiday.The other part that makes it worth it is the atmosphere. Sure, you could get in your own car and drive around, if you know where you’re going. However, this offers the opportunity to enjoy the show with an audience affect you won’t be able to mimic. The anecdotes from other passengers alone escalates the wow factor and also increases the shared amusement of well meaning light displays gone bad.Trolley is enclosed, but has both windows and heat.Tour took 1.5 hours6-7 total neighborhoods/developmentsBring a seat pad if wooden seats are too hard for you or sit on your coat.Seats sit 2 ppl eachFor bigger parties get there 10-15 minutes early to get seats together.I recommend this company for tours around Kingston.

The trolley was a lot of fun, and despite living in Kingston for many years, I learnt a few great things about our city. The guide was informative and entertaining. 100% must do regardless if you're a resident or a tourist!

We went on the Ghost Trolley Tour and our tour guide/driver Marita was excellent, very informative and really wanted feedback from the passengers. Overall this is a very good way to get insights into the history of Kingston along with some ghost stories and stops at haunted places. The stop at the Rockwood Insane Asylum is especially good!! This was one of the first Ghost Trolley Tours that incorporated characters, dressed in the time period who would come on the trolley, at certain stops, and act out how their demise came to be ... we found this to be an excellent addition to the trolley tour experience!!

Bought 4 tickets to take my wife who just recovered from a serious leg injury. She hurt herself the night before and we got xrays done in the morning before the bus ride. We wanted to call and cancel but they have a 24 hour policy. She then tried her best to go. There was no handicap parking anywhere. I had to drop her off at the front and told her and her mom to go om the bus if I don't make it on time. I parked far and ran, but by the time I got there, she told me the bus already left when I dropped her off. We tried to tell the lady at the front and she didn't care and told us no refunds. We asked to speak to a manager and we were told they were busy in the back. We were given no option. Waste of 200 dollars. DONT BOOK UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY THERE. they don't care, even for the disabled.

I've been wanting to do a trolley tour since I came to Kingston! So glad I did one, in December they offer free tours on weekends. It was a great experience, a local drag queen was conducting the tram! She was great with riders of all ages. The route was short but a great experience overall. Would recommend to any visitor to Kingston!

This trolley tour is really worth it! If you want an express but very informative lesson on Kingston, ON and its very rich history I would highly recommend signing up for this tour. If your guide happens to be Tom, you're in for a real treat! (being a true Kingston local) He was very, very, very knowledgeable about every hot spot that we drove by, is open to taking questions, and did an excellent job adding in his own personality and humour on top of the whole experience. 5 stars!
