My wife and I took a two-hour kayak tour with Nici and it was the highlight of our Victoria vacation. She went out of her way to give us a safe, fun, beginner-appropriate excursion into the inner harbour. Highly recommended!

This was my very first kayaking experience and it was so great! Nici is the best instructor you could ask for. I would definitely recommend Victoria Waterfront Tours, whether it's your first time kayaking or you're already experienced. We saw seals and jellyfish and Nici took some amazing pictures which she later e-mailed to us. Thanks again for the fun experience!

SO happy we chose Victoria Waterfront Tours for our kayaking trip on our vacation! We looked at so many different places before booking. With this one you’re out of the harbour in no time and right into nature with little to no noise pollution or boat traffic in minutes. That was key for us as we didn’t want to spend half of our trip paddling just trying to get out of the harbour. It was also lovely taking the short boat taxi trip from the inner harbour over and a relaxing but quick walk back along the waterfront. We did the brothers island tour and it was the perfect day for it! The seals are so fun popping out of the water so close by. We ended up having our own private tour which was such a bonus. Nici is such a wonderful person and it felt like paddling around with an old friend vs an instructor. The photos she took were amazing! It was my first time kayaking and she made it feel like a breeze! You can tell she loves her job. We obviously left a gratuity for her but truthfully she deserved even more for such a great day. Highly recommend.

Nici was an amazing tour guide! She is definitely knowledgeable about kayaking and the area. A huge plus that she also took pictures of us (and the seals of course) when we are too busy kayaking. Definitely would recommend this to those who love the ocean!

I enjoyed the kayaking with Nikki very much. I and my friend planned for a kayak tour to the Seals' island on last-minute of our stay in Victoria. She was very helpful to find us a spot in the evening. Her cheerful attitude and comprehensive and smooth illustration during the tour made our tour really unforgettable; taking photos of us and enticing us to discover nature and taste new food :-). I will definitely join her tour again on my next visit to Victoria.

I went on the Kayak Tour with Victoria Waterfront Tours (VWT) and had an absolutely amazing time. 5 Stars Tour: The tour itself was great. We went around a bunch of little islands and saw a variety of seals, jellies, seaweed, starfish, birds, etc. We learned about the different types of seaweed (and what ones you can eat).Guide: I’m really impressed. Nici has a wonderful personality. She is informative and willing to give you as much information she can, safety conscious, and always looking out for her group.Location: I personally think out of all the kayaking tours I could find this is the best located company for tours. If I’m only going on a 3 hour tour I don’t want to waste my time slow paddling from the Empress to Fisherman’s Warf. I’d much rather boat taxi it to West Bay / Esquimalt and then start paddling right where it starts to get interestingGift Shop: I love her little gift shop as it has items from artists and even a few items created by Nici that she calls Wind Jewellery (Like Wind Chimes but they sparkle instead of make noise disturbing your neighbours).Note: If you can do a full day paddle I’d recommend going out to the lighthouse. I really wanted to do that but it wasn’t offered on the one day that I was available so I definitely am going to come back one day for it…then again I was really tired on the 3 hour one ha ha.

Nici runs a great tour! From the booking process to the educational component she provided a professional, safe, fun adventure on the water for a great value. We had the opportunity to view lots of seals, river otters, shore birds and vegetation that she pointed out and explained as we paddled. My wife and I took a 3 hour tour with Nici as part of our honeymoon in Victoria, and it was definitely one of the highlights from our trip! Nici was very informative and knowledgeable of the flora and fauna we got to see during our tour. She also was very informative of some of Victoria's history, and was overall a very great person to talk to during the tour. Nici also takes pictures during the tour for you and sends them to you afterwards, so if you don't feel like taking a camera out on the water she has you covered. Had a very positive experience, and highly recommend it to both young and old!

After looking through many different kayak companies/tours, my boyfriend and I decided to go try out Victoria Waterfront Tours for the affordable price for a four hour tour. We did the Brothers Islands Tour and saw seals, a sea lion, three types of jelly fish, and birds. It was gorgeous! So much wildlife and such a beautiful area.Nici was very friendly and was a knowledgeable guide. Her company was lovely and we enjoyed talking with her. She taught us beginners about kayaking techniques and safety, and also a lot about the wildlife.This was truly an amazing experience that I'll remember through my lifetime. It went far beyond my expectations.

My mom and I went kayaking with Victoria Waterfront tours on September 21, 2014 at the end of a road trip across Canada. Nici was very thorough in explaining the safety equipment and made us feel comfortable kayaking. She shared her knowledge of the harbour and surrounding area and wildlife. We saw seals, birds, jellyfish and had a very fun and interesting explanation of bull kelp. Felt like we had known her forever. Would highly recommend and plan to come back in future.
