Q's Cakes

We ordered a one tier wedding cake approximately 2 months before our wedding. We submitted photos of how we wanted the cake to look. We picked up the cake the day before the wedding and were shocked once we got home at the quality we received. Not only was the cake the wrong colour, the decoration was completely lacking. It was bad enough that I wanted to leave the cake at home (it was not the main dessert for guests) because it was not presentable. Our wedding coordinator saw a picture of what we received and immediately got another bakery to fix it for us free of charge because it was so bad. The owner of the other bakery told us she would have NEVER let the cake leave her shop looking the way it did. She had to scrape the entire outside off and start again. Our parents actually asked if a student had made the original cake. Luckily it was fixed and made exactly to our liking by the second bakery. While the taste of the original cake was okay, that was the only thing that went right with it.

Absolutely love Q’s cakes and cup cakes. Thrice I placed an order online, it was fulfilled as is. Once I went for in store purchase, bought a pretty apron, candles, fancy paper plates and a cake.

Take a cholesterol reducing pill before eating these amazing cupcakes. Bought several dozen to celebrate my 75th birthday. They all disappeared down the gullets of friends and family. Great treats!

Possibly the best cupcakes I’ve had.Their cupcakes are seriously next level with how fresh, moist and decadent they are! The frosting isn’t overly sweet or stiff- and you can tell (and appreciate) how they bake these fresh everyday!I’ve tried red velvet and chocolate hazelnut and they are both 5/5!

So some mixed feelings here, but a genuinely honest review of the business.The good : their products are delicious. Our favourites were the lemon-raspberry cupcake and the cake pops which were amazing. The staff is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable and they are able to answer our questions when we asked them.The bad : There needs to be some work done on the internal side of things. My partner and I sent an email regarding booking a wedding cake. We asked in advance if we could book it for a specific day and after double checking, they agreed that it could be done. 2.5 weeks pass and no response until today where we are messaged that not only can they not deliver our cake, but that they are not willing to do the tiers we asked and planned for originally. After going to the store, we were told that the person who is in charge of the emails has been on maternity leave for a while now... which begs the question as to how many orders were pushed aside until today and if ours was dismissed for a later inquiry.I understand that a business is hard to run and I am in no position to tell them or anyone how to run them. But in my mind, common sense dictates that if someone who is in charge of something is unable to perform their task, then you need to train or assign someone else this role. For something like emails, this stings much more.While we might come back for cake pops or the odd cupcake, we don't feel confident recommending them to supply cakes or large scale treats to our friends and family because of this unreliability.

Wow! Amazing! I bought one of their cakes for my wife's birthday and everyone was thoroughly impressed! Definitely got me some brownie points. ( Aside....their brownies are amazing as well!) When I think of a cake....I now have Q's cake as the gold standard that all other cakes will be judged against. Trust me that is a big statement coming from me. If you want the queen of all cakes...just go to Q's. Guaranteed winner! If you need to smooth out a rough patch with your significant other....Q's cakes has the answer! Flowers are so yesterday! I think I personally ate my newborns weight in cake! Yes it is THAT good!

Q's cakes did our wedding cake on April 29, 2023 and it was BEAUTIFUL! Not only did everyone compliment on how beautiful it looked, but they also said it tasted amazing!Carol was super easy to communicate with. I love Q's Cakes! For the last 3 years I've celebrated my birthday with a beautiful cake from this lovely bakery and they have all been amazing. So many flavor options that I try different combos each year. Highly recommend for any occasion!

Wonderful experience from the customer service to the baked goods! Cakes are moist and not overly sweet. The decor (for the cakes/ baked goods) are also cute and quite accurate (for custom orders as well). Definitely recommend to anyone for any event where such goods are required. 10/10

Picked up cupcakes and gluten-free brownies from here. The online ordering system was so simple, and pick up was seamless. So many of my colleagues complimented how fresh and tasty the cupcakes were. I'll definitely be back here!
