Canada's Baking Box

When the boxes arrive, they *are* great; however, in my 12 month subscription only 3 arrived (and one duplicate), and when I reached out via email I never had a reply. Disappointing because it’s a great idea, but not really trustworthy if you don’t know whether or not it will arrive.

My sister bought the 3 month vegan box for me as a Christmas gift. Since day one it has been nothing but unanswered emails, late or missing boxes and terrible service. My first box was supposed to ship mid Feb and was forgotten! When I finally got it, there was a note inside apologizing and saying I would get an extra month free for the inconvenience, ok great! But then the second box never came… Me and my sister have sent many emails to check shipping status and was never answered. Now I am in what is supposed to be “month 3” and still nothing… radio silence on box 2 even. I have contacted them for my sisters money back so we will see if they just scammed us out of money or what… buyer beware!

I loved how easy Canada’s baking box makes baking delicious goods at home. Love getting my new box every month to try something new and enjoy getting to make some of my favourites again, like the chocolate donuts, with the tools and recipe card that is included. The box subscription makes a great gift too! My nephew loved it.

Wish this experience was better than it has been..........I was originally very excited to find this Canadian company and purchased one of the baking kits for my granddaughter's birthday. Along with that, I also purchased a 3 month subscription so she would receive an additional baking kit for each of those additional months. My first shipment arrived after my granddaughter's birthday in April but I was happy she at least received it. I then received notification May 12 that the 1st monthly subscription kit was being processed. After contacting the owner in late May it finally showed up June 2. The first subscription should have arrived in the month of May, not June. Nothing was shipped in June. Early July I attempted many times to contact the owner about the shipment that should have been sent in June. I also noticed that my account indicated there were shipments to be going out in September and October and nothing for August. I did finally receive a response from the owner who did apologize and said they switched to a new server and were having some issues. That was mid July. As compensation, she included an additional kit as I was clearly getting frustrated with this whole process and no continuity in the shipments going out. Mid August I received a notification that the last order is being prepared. Here we are in late September and the last kit still hasn't been shipped! Again, I have attempted to reach the owner and so far, no response. I have tried to be patient as this seems to be a fairly new start up company but at the end of the day, I shouldn't have to be hounding the owner as to the status of the shipments. Also, my granddaughter was looking forward to have these monthly.....not every second month or so.

Not that impressed.12 month subscription. Had some shipping issues which was not a big deal to me but I looked forward to something sweet to bake once a month. Something that had chocolate or icing. NOT BREAD!Then I wait another month before I go on a crazy rant and what to it get…a loaf recipe! One that was asking me to go buy way too many ingredients. Also let me mention That it states they will give all dry or shelf safe food. So why then did I have to buy oil for the bread in the previous month.I feel like I’m being sent a bunch of old lady recipes that i’ll never make again and I’m getting my hopes up for some chocolate sweet treat that’s apparently never coming.Not to be a total downer there was one I turned my nose up and and ended up really enjoying and that was the sticky toffee pudding.Most of these recipes are for more mature tastes but not all so it wouldn’t make a good kit to do with young kids.My subscription started this January I have received the following recipes.Flourless chocolate cake - has very strong espresso tasteChocolate chip cornflake marshmallow cookies - delicious easy to freeze and take out and cook as needed (given as a freebie for delayed package)Sticky toffee pudding - AMAZING!Challah bread - did not come with oil, website shows no signs of selling breads though it is a baked good it feels sneaky. “Here spend $300+ and I’ll send you some flour and yeast!” No thank you.Lemon blueberry loaf - haven’t made yet I will let you know my option when I do along with the rest of this subscription.

I have tried two times Canada's Baking box and I love it. The chocolate brownies was event, and the chocolate crackle cookies so delicious and soft... another great experience!

I subscribed for 6 months and every month we received our new box full of fun, a new pro tool and easy to follow instructions. My mom and I loved the scone recipe, they were delicious - we froze half of them and they were still amazing when re heated. I gave one of my boxes away as a gift to a girlfriend of mine with two young children at home that were thrilled for their baking activity to use during these covid times.

Bought a prepaid 6 month subscription for my parents, at first it was wonderful but for the last 3 months, the deliveries didn't come. We got a response and a promise to make up for it after numerous emails and trying to chat" on the website but now it seems the promise was an empty one and communication on their end has stopped all together. Very disappointing."

I ordered a pretzel making kit from this company for a relative I wasn’t sure what to get for Christmas and it was perfect. There was a big snow storm before the holidays and it was delivered just before the weather got bad in time to give the present. It worked out great and a hand written note was included too. I highly recommend their products!!

We are HUGE fans of Canada's Baking Box. One of our most favourites is the Chocolate Chip Cornflake Marshmallow Cookies. My son and I made them together (like we do with all of the fun & yummy recipes they have!) and not only was it super fun to do but the cookies were so so yummy. He was super excited by the scooper that comes with this recipe and it sure helps with all our baking too. Its such a great subscription box! Definitely recommend. You'll be so happy you got on board!
