I loved my experience, it was such a pleasure meeting all the different representatives through my interview process, and Maelyne had me updated on all the steps throughout the process and I absolutely can’t wait to start my pre apprenticeship with the Alliance!

Looking to become an electrician was difficult to know how and where to start. The Electrical Apprentice Training Alliance provided me the step my step information on how to make my ideal career a reality. The process was made very clear and the team who guide you through the onboarding are extremely kind and helpful. Well worth the wait and feeling accomplished at the end of the intake steps.

Very disappointed with the Alliance. I am very eager to become an electrician. But of course I do not know much about how this alliance worked and the union. I thought they would be able to direct me correctly and they did not. I even told the director I will be living in Guelph. All this time and trying to get a pre requisite of physics to enter the alliance. I might not even need this pre requisite anymore. I later learned on my own how unions worked and that is when I found out I might be doing this wrong. But after many phone calls with Mark, the director, where I explained my location and communications with Maelyne Javier they completely missed out the fact that location matters. The website is so confusing as well and she even admitted to me the MAT links are not even relevant. Like how do these people even get paid when they can’t provide proper guidance when that is there job. Just disappointed.

Very friendly staff and I felt comfortable being interviewed for the intake process. A little nerve-wracking in the beginning but they do a good job at easing into it!

Update: They accepted my daughter's application. So that's good news. But still trying to wrap our heads around why it's so hard to get into this placeUpdate: it’s been a considerable amount of time. But thought I would pass something along. My daughter has been working with her company now for over two years. She belongs to a fantastic union. Yes it is hard to get in. But, when you put the effort in. It does pay off. So keep trying. Don’t give up.

Mike Vitale was such an amazing instructor! He was incredibly thorough with explanations regarding the more complicated topics and stopped at nothing until it was completely understood and used different multiple methods to teach the same topic to give different perspectives on any topic. He made this experience as easy and as comforting as it could be.

Found out today that you guys are selling these pre apprentice kits" to the students for quite a price and they don't come with wire strippers? What's up with that? These guys have no idea what they will be doing in the field as a pre apprentice. Should they not be equipped and ready to go?"
