My family likes that the food on the menu tasted different. It was unique and gave an experience congruent to the vibe The Forks offers. We also likenthe dinner ware. We ordered mushroom toast with beets, lamb, pickerel, meat balls.

The server was very kind and nice, also it was fast service, coffee was pretty good, i liked the omlette but their potatos were overcooked , overall nice place for a brunch/breakfast, it was pricey for the food quality but has a good atmosphere and good service to compensate

I've been to Smith on several occasions, and the staff and service there are exceptional.The food tastes incredible, and the portions are perfect.My only complaint would be that it's always too hot in the restaurant, regardless if it's summer or winter. They even had to put a fan in the private dining area it was so hot.

One of the prettiest and most modern restaurants that we have in Winnipeg. A great flavourful menu with a mix of something for just about everyone, dishes are elevated but not intimidating or confusing! A bit more pricy than you may be used to for downtown Winnipeg but worth it. Try this if you’re over the boring chains!

Visited just before the dinner rush.Service was pretty good. We made a reservation for a certain number of people, and they gave us enough seats, but for some reason, we were missing two sets of flatware and napkins. It was corrected, but it felt like the server didn't believe us at first.Aside from that, our server was really polite and accommodating the whole time. I appreciated her patience since we were a pretty big group. There is an 18% gratuity included for bigger groups.I ordered the Pan Fried Bearcat Pickerel. The taste was very mild, and overall, it was just okay. There is nothing to write home about. I wouldn't really recommend it. My partner ordered the special, which was a modern surf and turf with pork belly and octopus. That was much more flavourful. I say to definitely try asking what the special is before ordering. Food is very pricey, but you can see that in their menu online.Overall, it was a good experience, but I won't go out of my way to come back.

Had a great dinner full of laughs and delicious food. Our server was excellent and gave us some tips on new drinks to check out and was very informative about the food. Really enjoyed all of the dishes, I personally recommend the rack of lamb. Nice place for a date or just to go have some fancy cocktails.

We went on a Monday night, party of five. Was seated promptly and our server was average. The atmosphere is fantastic but what gets this review 2 stars is how long our food took. We ordered drinks and one appetizer which came quickly but then waited over an hour and twenty minutes then our server brings out a complimentary cheese board and informs us our food should be out soon. We then wait another twenty minutes for our entrees to arrive which were tasty but nothing amazing.The server told us they had a 300 person banquet that night they were catering out of the same kitchen and that's why the food took so long. Here's where the problem is, I am a Red Seal chef and know exactly how a commercial kitchen works and you would never be serving a 300 person banquet out of a line kitchen which is what SMITH has. There were 4 line cooks on that night and other tables were arriving and leaving with their meals while we were waiting for ours. Yes the server may have forgotten to put in a pick up check or maybe one of the cooks cut off a finger but please don't lie to the table about a 300 person banquet or if it was true at least inform us that when the restaurant is one third full that the food will take a while when we order because of it.Normally I am very understanding when food takes a while as I work in the industry but when you are charging these kind of prices its completely unacceptable. Hopefully if you are reading this it was a one off night for the kitchen and your experience will be better.

I had a few hours to kill while I waited for people and wanted to try someplace new. And this place had eggs bennie. I'll just say that the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 was it was a really cold day and the tea for my Earl Grey came tepid. I really wanted hot tea and it doesn't take that long to preheat a cup. The eggs Benedict were good, not eggsellent but good. I loved the crunchy potatoes.All in all, it was a good place for breakfast and to wait out a few hours watching people.

Excellent food and service yesterday! Definitely will come again. I recommend the buttermilk fried chicken with the Brussel sprouts as a side.

Delicious food! The pounded cheese starter was amazing! The best hollandaise sauce! Eggs Benedict or eggs Royal are a must!
