The Liberty Distillery

Loved the cocktail Mc Clay and ambience! Local distillery with great selection of liquors. They have some unique cocktails. I highly recommend this place if you're in the Greenwich island neighborhood.Staff is very friendly and warm.

The tasting room here is quite enjoyable. There are dozens of different spirits to try, and the staff are quite helpful at finding something interesting to drink. I tried the oat vodka and the single grain whiskey, both of which were good, but the vodka was the more compelling of the two. It's not your typical watered-down neutral grain spirit. It actually has some flavor. We also tried a Mule, which was fresh and delicious. The stills were running, and liquor was flowing from the parrots, which is always cool to see.

Excellent whiskeys with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Appreciate the diversity in whiskey styles and fun array of cocktails available.

You remember that song by Chumbawamba? Tubthumping? Right? Well, this place is kinda like that. You can drink a whiskey drink. You can drink a vodka drink. You can even drink a gin drink, even though that's not in the song. But really, that's it. There's also beer and wine available, but you're at a distillery. So skip that and go for the hard stuff, all right?So. Apparently BC's liquor laws are both strange and rigid. They'll only serve you if you have a seat; there's no sitting at the bar in a bar. Also, they can only really serve what appears to be made on site. For a craft cocktail spot, that can be super limiting. You're not going to get a last word, sidecar, Sazerac, or margarita here.But what you will get are fun spins on classic whiskey, vodka, and gin drinks and new cocktails that are forced to be creative in their mixers. And those cocktails are darn tasty. And that's all right. It works. It's their distillery and they're using their spirits well. It's like they got knocked down and got up again, you know?Sorry for getting Tubthumping stuck in your head.

Me and my partner had the pleasure of getting to spend some time with Andy, the bar manager, and we had such an excellent time. Andy is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about spirits and the cocktails made with them and he was more than happy to share that knowledge with us. His years of experience with bartending came through in his presentation and in the extraordinarily delicious cocktails he made. Every cocktail was tailor-made to the subtle and complex characteristics of each of their house-made spirits and crafted with honed technique. On top of that, Andy kept us entertained with anecdotes from his own journey with bartending that has seen him travel all over the world.We are definitely bringing our friends here the next time we find ourselves needing a sophisticated, yet still relaxed evening out.

The Vesper cocktail was perfection in a Martini glass. Their Truth Oat Vodka was delicious and very smooth. Not many warm vodkas can say that. LolThey do tours as well, but we didn't partake in that. A great spot for the adults here on the island.

Such a great vibe, had the My Pear Lady and the Artisinal cider. Also had great conversation with Adam but the whole staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Watermelon Fresca could be one of the best drinks I've ever had! Delicious!!!And the bar has a fantastic vibe!

An amazing place to have a small gathering, tasting for all locally made awesome whiskey (10 types) or just hang out with friends and buddies for hours. Also try their gin and vodkas :)Great authentic and hardworking staff making sure you are well taken care of.Highly highly recommended

Great little cocktail bar on Granville Island to stop in for a drink or pick up some craft liquor. It's an even better spot if you're looking for a private venue space. Hosted my birthday party here as they have a very reasonable minimum spend (host or cash bar). The space has enough ambiance that you don't need decorations, you can bring in whatever food you like, and the bartenders craft your drinks with the utmost care and attention-to-detail - not an easy task with 30+ guests ordering up a storm. Everyone had a fab time - highly recommend!
