tl;dr: Cute setup to walk around in for a few minutes but be prepared to pay if you want anything. Everything here is EXPENSIVE from the crepes to whiskey.Pros:Really nice walkable area downtownChristmas music, fire pits, and local vendorsGreat spot for picturesCons:Food/drink is incredibly expensive

5 stars for the atmosphere i just wish they would incorporate more business with christmas stuff. most of the shops don’t even sell christmas stuff and it’s supposed to be a christmas market.

It is the first time in 22 years that I go in Montreal to a Christas Market. I hesitated because I felt I will be disapointed. Well, that happened now, unfortunately.... so small, so crowded, so uninteresting... such very expensive pretzels...! Of course, for someome who saw the Christmas Markets in Europe it is a big difference... but do not deserve montrealers better?

Cute, small, has enough drink/food stalls so you’re not waiting too long but you’re basically done in half an hr

Update 2019: 4th year they're running this. Gets a little better everet year. A complain is that the music isn't heard everywhere which is a bit odd and could be easily fixed. The yurt in the back is still the most fun with some live music.Update 2018: they've updated it since it's the 3rd year. Many more kiosks and yurts with activities inside. Live music, some fire pits. They even gave the trees away on the last day. It's somewhere you can wander around 30 mins to 2 hours if you hang around the yurts. There is a cute yurt in the back where you can play board games ans get coffee. You can check the videos, I uploaded some.2017 review: Very cute kiosks, some from the usual Atwater market but much smaller. Some cute things to buy as gifts to eat or wear. There are also some fireplaces too so you can warm up and really feel the Christmas spirit.Overall if you were headed to the market anyway it's cute to stop by with friends, a date or family.

It's a cute Christmas market with local businesses. We had to wait for about 30 minutes before going in. We went on a Friday night. Honestly, we didn't mind waiting because we had nothing else to do (during lockdown). There is a nice variety of kiosks. Gel is provided at the entrance and you can only go one-way once you are inside.

We attended Montreal’s Christmas market this weekend are were extremely disappointed and shocked. There was absolutely nothing to do or no activities for the kids. There is lack of entertainment. The prices on the market are extremely high and there is almost no product. We would like to know what do the organizers of this event do? Our main question is to the Mayor of Montreal and to those who organized this market, if Montreal is such a touristic place, does it not deserve to have a better Christmas Market?
