I've been coming it this restaurant for over a decade. Amazing food and great staff. Seems like a legit Japanese owns and operated business. When I walk in, I feel like I'm transported back into Japan. They have amazing and fresh sashimi. Huge variety of appies. Been here for a long time and I can see them here for a long time to come. Highly recommend. Been a regular for many years and will continue to be for any more years to come.

My wife and I have been visiting this place for 6-7 years now. The food is great. Services are great. Especially if you would like to feel japanese izakaya, this is the place to go. And back then, the price felt a little expensive. But since the price didn't change much for 6-7 years, now it has become cheaper due to the inflation (lol). Again, great quality food and service.

Definitely a hidden gem in metro area! Authentic Japanese-vibe decor and music, with a crew of local chefs and servers. Tairyou offers a wide selection of menu with prices that no other peer restaurants can beat. Assorted deluxe sashimi is a must-try! Though I have already paid numerous visits, every time I’d come home with a full heart and stomach with delight, that’s no doubt.ごちそうさまでした!

Not a bad place for authentic sushi and sashimi. Bit loud and service a bit understaffed. But it feels like a real Japanese eatery at night.Price for dinner: about $60-70 per person. On the pricier side but authentic experience.

Review updated from 3 starsBeen here more than 10 times now. Servers are always friendly. Just order any sashimi and nigiri. Maybe also grab a beer and some karage. Don’t order anything else. You won’t regret it.Old review:We grabbed some dinner from Tariyou Ichiba to go. The sashimi was great quality. However, the aburi had no vinegar in the sushi rice??? It tasted bland. The fish also could’ve been torched/seared better, to give it a nicer colour.This was my third visit, and I feel like I would only recommend this place for the high quality sashimi and authentic atmosphere. Everything else isn’t that great unfortunately.

Very fresh Sashimi, great value and portion. We recommend the sashimi and nigiri. Aburi are good too. Skewers are a little bit expensive.

My fave izakaya outside of Japan. I love the Showa-era decor. It was nice being able to converse with the staff in Japanese. Food is excellent and authentic.
