Always friendly and they get to know there customers.I purchased a high end Trek Domane LT 7 and they walked me through the order process with great patience and I was very confident I was getting the bike that would be a dream to ride.Ian is the ultimate bike mechanic and when he fixes something you can count on it being right and ride with confidence. If Ian is backed up with repairs, I will not take my bike anywhere else, I will wait for him to look at it!When I mention I purchased a new bike accessory at Down To Earth all my friends always reply “ Yes they are the best”.If you are looking for a great shopping experience I would highly recommend stopping by to see them!

The owners Sandra and Ian are by far the best in the Kawartha lakes/Peterborough county area. My husband and I are super new to the bike world and they were so helpful and made us feel so comfortable asking all the silly questions. They have an awesome selection and super fast on getting ready. My bike wasn’t even on the floor and Ian had it ready to go within an hour. If you are looking for anything bike related, this shop is where you should start!

Always a 5⭐️ Shopping experience at this store. Sandra and Ian are very knowledgeable and helpful about all their products from bikes to socks. Recently hiked for a week in a winter storm in Portugal and was very happy to stay dry and warm in all my clothing purchased at their store -from shoes to hat and everything in between. Their experience and servicing with bikes is excellent. One of my fave places to shop.

I came in to look around and the workers were so amazing, kind and helpful. I came in with really loose handlebars after a fall, completely clueless about how to fix them and the lady worker (I’m blanking on the name) fixed them up in less than 5 minutes even tho she didn’t need to! So amazing and friendly!

The shopping experience Down to Earth offers is rare now a days and greatly appreciated. From the simplest purchase to hard to find bolts, they kept me rolling when the bigger shops couldn’t this season. The fact you need to go there to shop is the Local Bike Shop experience many are forgetting about. Shop Down to Earth, feel looked after and feel appreciated.

So much more than a bike shop! What a great experience! We were given A class treatment and a wealth of information. Who knew that the socks you wear in your new hiking boots make a big difference?! Not to mention the different types of boots/shoes you can buy for hiking different terrains.
