Great atmosphere, very European pub feel. Nice casual menu with typical bar fare but very good. Extensive rotational beer menu, something for everyone.

First time visit , ambience is decent. Staff is very friendly. Their Happy hour ends at 9pm.Food is Ok, drinks variety is good.Not a lot on the vegetarian or vegan menu for eating, but do recommend their power bowl as the most decent option for vegetarians

My wife and I were there on 6/11/23 around 6pm. I have to tell you, I've had lots of BBQ chicken wings from lots of places here in the States, but the ones at Garrick's were just about the best I've ever had. Our waitress was fantastic. Wish I could remember her name. Tell her I'm the one who asked for a Canadian dollar to take home. The service and atmosphere were wonderful. I wish I could get some of those BBQ chicken wings here in Texas.

Oh how we have missed you! The staff is changed since our last visit and yet still the same friendly demeanor and smiling faces!We stopped for light refreshments (beer of course) and their sweet potato fries. The fries are the BEST on the isle, just saying. They offer up a nice aioli spiced to medium heat max yet soothing enough with the other ingredients to compliment the fries.Our primary goal was the wicked draught list that also contains ciders and domestics too. I went after my all time favorite @hoynebrewing #darkmatter. While the hubby needed to run through a few starting with one of his fan favs of @driftwoodbrewing and #fattug - cannot go wrong with any of the choices we made.We are long time fans from the states and this is our first post-pandemic jaunt to Victoria. We felt like we came home ❤️❤️❤️

Huge selection of beers, like 65 on tap. It's always changing as the various island and mainland brew houses change their selection.Now with 3 wines on tap. For a total of 68 trapsIn my opinion they need more Porters or stouts. Right now their options for summer beer is top notch.Great appies and food at reasonable prices. Nice options, in that you can substitute a beyond burger for any of their meat burgers. Fish and chips is great, and has that British flair that adds to the atmosphere of the pub as a whole.The serving staff are always excellent and service is top notch. Many of them have been here for years, a testament to the establishment that staff don't rotate out weekly like some palaces.

Hygiene Issue and Unprofessional Staff BehaviorRating: 1 out of 5 ⭐️I wish I could have had a more positive experience to share about my recent visit to Garricks Head Pub, but unfortunately, it was anything but pleasant. My dining experience was severely disrupted by a critical hygiene issue, and the response from the staff, particularly Vennessa, only compounded my disappointment.While trying to enjoy my meal, I was shocked to spot a mouse running around freely within the establishment. In an era when cleanliness should be paramount in any dining venue, witnessing such an incident was truly alarming. I proceeded to document the situation by taking pictures of the mouse as evidence of the hygiene issue.What made the situation even more disconcerting was that Vennessa and her coworkers observed me taking the pictures but chose to question what the issue was, rather than addressing the problem immediately. This felt oddly dismissive, and their indifference towards a blatant health hazard struck me as a significant failure in ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.When I expressed my concerns to Vennessa, who was in charge at the time, her response was nonchalant, stating that mice are everywhere downtown." This place was so terrible it became comical. My partner said it used to be great during college, but it's gone completely downhill. It's the perfect candidate for Bar Rescue. One of our beers had gone moldy and tasted like ammonia. It was basically poison. They offer too many beers than they are able to manage. Then we ordered food and the pasta had literally the bare minimum of ingredients on it. It had the pasta (unsalted), some cheese sprinkled on top and then panko. There was literally no sauce or even salt and pepper. The other dish was over salted. Literally the saltiest dish we've ever had. We could not stop laughing at the vastness between the dishes. Then one of our friends had ordered a drink and never received it - which is for the best because after the ammonia drink didn't want anything anymore. If that wasn't bad enough, the chair I sat in was one rock away from collapsing. If a big guy sat there, the chair would be toast. Lastly, the bathroom is literally haunted. I went down there and within a second ran back up cause it's the perfect place for someone to assault you. The whole place feels like it's being run by a middle aged man who is doing everything wrong and is too insecure to make any change. Every town needs a dive bar, but this was not one worth coming back for...

Best nachos in Victoria! They have an excellent beer selection too. Nothing fancy, but it's the perfect place to stop in for a pint and watch the game (which is a rarity in Victoria!)
