Great compliment to the official site. Was a lot of fun and all the workers were in good spirits and made the experience more enjoyable. I would say I enjoyed this more than the UNESCO site, but like I said it compliments the education you get there, so do both for the full experience.

Glad we stopped here after visiting L'anse Aux Meadow Aux Meadows National Historic Site. For us it was worth the entrance fee as it was more interactive than the national site. Actors/interpreters around the site are there to explain in character and answer any questions you may have. Enjoyed the Axe throwing :)

This was probably in our top 3 highlights of our entire trip to Newfoundland so I definitely recommend doing this. We’ve done a lot since here and I’d highly recommend driving up here for this and L’anse aux meadows. Especially if you like history, scenery or learning. It’s got it all. The staff throughout the village was so engaging with our children. They are 5 and 7. We spent probably 3 hours here and could have stayed longer. I’d plan to spend a full day. 1/2 at L’anse aux Meadows and 1/2 here. $35 for our family of 4. It was more expensive than L’anse aux meadows but it was worth it.

Interesting place to visit. Viking ship reconstruction was very neat. Would have been a nicer visit if it wasn't windy and rainy all day. Everyone was huddled around the fires that they had going.

We loved this place. Much more interactive than the location across the road. The items on display are not artifacts so we were allowed to touch and feel them. The kids really enjoyed their time and the interaction. The folks working there were great and challenged our oldest to an axe throwing contest and we were able to help the blacksmith work the bellows.

similar to the national historic site, but smaller and more intimate and interactive. they only have a few buldings, but they're all reconstructed in what the vikings are thought to have built and stayed in. there's a guide inside each one in costume, and they tell you about the exhibit.they have a whole big boat too (the snorri)!! super cool!!apparently, they're supposed to get some sheep and chickens later on too.worth the entrance fee.

Went there July 5th, 2023. What a great time and experience. My daughter loved it, and the interactive experience from the viking actors. Great time for everyone. I would recommend it to everyone.

Norstead is an interesting historical experience of how the Vikings arrived in Nfld and what their village life was like.
