Okanagan Military Museum

Great place to learn about the history of Canadian military including uniforms, guns, etc. Hey you can even try some of the uniforms and take pictures!Entry to this place is by donation. The staff was super friendly and eager to answer any questions we had about the different exhibits.Dedicate yourself at least 1 hour when visiting.

Great place to bring kids to try on military costumes. Very knowledgable young gent at the door. Great value for a $5 donation!

Passionate guide with lots of information. Great artifacts, just a little small. Wish it was joined with an area with large vehicles, and displays.

What a great experience. Took a group of young girls and they were excellent with them. They had tonnes of things they could touch and try on as well as many other pieces to look at. It was a great experience.

I've been on two field trips to this museum with my kids' classes. I've learned a few new things each time and would gladly go back because this little museum is packed with history and memorabilia and information.One thing that stood out was a medal, I think it was a Purple Heart, or something similar, and a write up about the man who received it. Neat things to have on display for all generations to see an appreciate.I highly recommend taking your children to see this museum. History is important and visiting places like this is the best way to connect to the past and make it come alive for the younger generations.I found the staff here really great with the kids too! They've knowledgable and really trying to make it fun and interesting!

The museum has an interesting way of getting visitors engaged. They have a quiz you take while walking around the front room. Really gets you actively involved and not just looking" at the display. Lots of interesting information! Great for kids and teens."

Very good museum with interesting facts, displays and personal stories from wartime. (Reduced opening days during the off-season.)

This is an excellent example of what a small, volunteer-run museum can do. They have a great collection of artifacts, including lots of firearms, and many fascinating stories about local military regiments and personalities.
