What a gem of a cozy cabin.Excellent in cleanliness and a sweetheart of young owner Angela. Never felt closed in during a very rainy stay. Lots of hot water and heating took any chill from the cabin.. We we would return again. Wonderful hospitality.

A beautiful peaceful spot and a cosy and comfortable cabin. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, propane bbq, spotlessly clean. The owner (Angela) is welcoming and kind and has truly thought of everything to make your stay a great one. The view from the porch is amazing. I will be back.

What to say about Cajun Cedar Log Cottages that hasn’t already been said? Good question. Mostly, I have to say “Ditto”, except when it comes to what the entitled people have complained about. Read the great reviews, and base your decision to stay here on those. Ignore the rest.We booked our 1 bedroom cottage, as a pet-friendly home base for our visit to Cape Breton. We are spending two weeks in this lovely place. The location is quiet and serene, yet not far from great beaches, some excellent restaurants, and the famous Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Even Sydney is only 1.5 hours away. The cottage was spotless when we arrived, with plenty of little touches to make life easier ... dish soap, coffee filters, all linens, toilet paper, paper towels, bar soap, and salt & pepper (in case you forgot to bring yours), and a small propane bbq are all provided. The bed is as comfortable as our higher-end Euro-top at home. Internet is what you’d expect (or better than you’d expect) for a rural area in Cape Breton ... definitely close to being as goods as ours is in a small town just outside of Barrie, ON. Yes, the stove in our cabin is an older coil model, but it’s fully functioning and has suited us well so far. Remember, this is rural and quaint, so if you’re looking for big city amenities like you’d find in Ottawa, Toronto or Barrie, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for charm, a quaint log cottage to call your own while you’re here, wonderful locals, stunning scenery, and a place to totally unwind, this is your place in Cape Breton to be.Angela is a wonderful host, who regularly checks to make sure everything is ok with our cabin. She is also a major supporter of the Margaree Highland Games, a small but thoroughly entertaining games, held in August. This means a lot to us, coming from small town Ontario, as we know how important support is to events put on by smaller communities.

Very clean, cozy, and well maintained cottages. Beautiful spot to stay near the river. Angela has done an incredible job with up-keep in and around the cottages, and making guests feel comfortable and welcome. Absolutely would stay again!

These cabins are stunning! I stayed in the single cabin with my partner and small dog. Angela was extremely accommodating, not to mention our stay was during Hurricane Fiona. She made sure we were safe, prepared and cozy the entire time. The property is large and well maintained which our dog loved playing in. The location is a short drive to Cheticamp and Iverness. Highly recommend staying here for a few nights :)

Pleasant and comfortable stay for upto 6 people. The 2 bedroom cabin was well ventilated if windows were left slightly open, it was never stuffy.Cleanliness wise, the cottage was immaculate. It also comes equipped with a propane BBQ which was a big positive for us!Also note to not book through VRBO as there is a $75 charge incorporated. The two negatives for me1) No bon fire of any kind was allowed near the cabin. There was an electric fire place located in the living room but was not connected to the propane tank.2) WiFi signal was weak on the cabin located on the far right side (Cabin 2)
