They have a great meat counter , I have bought steaks, chicken , burgers, sausage and all have been top shelf. We ordered a fresh turkey from them for Christmas and it was fantastic , it was ready for pick up as scheduled and Marilu's is a pleasure to shop at. Great to support local. See you soon.

Marilu's Market
I live in Hamilton but stop by on my way home from work. I love the variety and quality. Sometimes, due to my work schedule, it is close to closing unfortunately, but I also work in retail and know that it happens. Past 6:30 I am most often ignored by the young girls behind the meat counter. The young cashiers are even less polite and sometimes have an attitude. I think some customer service training is needed.

What can you say about Marilu's? When you walk in, fresh faced cashiers and what amounts to your average grocery store. So you walk through, looking for what you need. Suddenly, you notice a commotion at the back. What's this you wonder? You get closer, and closer. There before your eyes, treats of meat and seafood unparalleled by any other store in the area. Steaks that make your mouth water, chicken breasts the size of turkeys. Fish. And while the prices are definitely what you might expect to pay, the quality makes it 100% worth it. Walk a little further down to the shaved meats. Best you'll ever see, and half the price of Sobeys. Go, now, buy meat.

I live locally, and only come to Marilou’s on special occasions. My daughter has always wanted to try a cake pop, so I was delighted when o saw fresh ones sold individually. I bought one for her and one for my son. She had a bite and said it tasted bad. I was surprised, since my son ate his all up. Upon taking a bite myself, I discovered that the cake pop was not only rotten, but tasted absolutely disgusting. It’s no wonder she didn’t like it. I’m so disappointed, especially since she’s such a picky eater. I won’t be shopping at Marilou’s again. When I called the store to tell them, the lady on the phone didn’t seem to really care, and said that if I brought my receipt, she’d give me another cake pop. I told her I wasn’t worried about the money, but perhaps the store should have better quality control.

While I do love Marilu's for their produce and meat department, I almost fell over when I saw the price of a tub of Becel margarine for $12. I realize that I do have the choice to buy it or not, but what justification do they have for that price? The highest price that I have seen Becel is $8.49. Shocking.

It's a nice grocery store in Burlington neighborhood. It carries a wide variety of organic products too. It's my go to place for like chia, flax seeds etc. Their some products are definitely pricier than stores like no frills walmart etc. For the same brand products.

The garden centre is fantastic, great selections and quality. Every staff member I encountered both indoors and outdoors were super friendly and helpful. Nice store!

Was a loyal customer until today. Went in to grab some nice cuts if meat and picked up some cheese as well. Got up to pay for it and once it was all scanned, realized the cheese had been priced wrong. Rather than following the Scanners Code of Practice and owning their mistake, refused to honor the pricing they had labeled and scanned. Actually had the audacity to say as a private business they didn't need to... would think a private business would be more inclined to value ethics and integrity than larger conglomerates... Will not go back. Very disappointed
