Chartroom Bar and Lounge

Westin's somewhat disappointing take on a hotel restaurant/lounge. The atmosphere is modern and relaxed, lit with the bright electric blue squares that define the lobby. The nachos we ordered to snack on, though nothing special, were acceptable, and were produced in a timely manner. The seating was comfortable though mismatched: one has the choice of leaning down to their food on low coffee tables, or having it at chest level.The service, however, was substandard lipservice at best. After delivery of our food, we were skillfully ignored until literally waving our arms to flag down our server. When we were successful, the result was borderline rudeness; a requested extra helping of salsa was wordlessly and unceremoniously dropped on our table. Nor were we the only ones: the couple near us also endured the server's disinterest.We've decided to avoid the Westin's inhouse restaurants for the remainder of our stay.

We were at the hotel for a 2 day conference. We decided to eat at the Chartroom restaurant. We were limited time and we informed our server, Rafael. 25 minutes after we ordered we asked how much longer before our food came. He repeatedly told us we only ordered 10 minutes ago. He said he would go to the kitchen and check how much longer. We watched him, he never went to the kitchen at all. My boss canceled her order. A couple minutes later he brought her food. She said she canceled the order. Even though she canceled, she is vegan and originally ordered a vegan Ceasar salad. This salad had bacon and cheese on it. He argued that she asked for the bacon and cheese. We all had to leave as our conference was about to start up again. We had to cancel everything as we didn't have time to eat. We tried to cancel and asked for our checks for our drinks. Rafael brought one singal bill for all our food. We finally got our food. We said it was all separate bills. My boss left. He said it would be 10 more minutes to separate the bills. A moment later the director of the restaurant came over and repeatedly apologized. He gave me his card and said if our boss needed anything to eat for her to contact him personally. We told him she probably doesn't want to talk to him as she was very upset. Not once did Rafael apologize. While the director was talking to us, Rafael was behind his back cursing at us and giving us very dirty looks. My boss has stayed at this hotel several times and attended conferences. It is absolutely distasteful and disgusting how we were treated and promise we won't be back!!!

Hotel bars are always expensive, and this one is no different. However they have an excellent selection of wines and the service is quick and professional. The decor is nice and the chairs are comfortable and despite the fact the bar is next to the lobby, it had a quiet, relaxed atmosphere

The stay in the hotel was really good and everything from check-in to the check-out was excellent, except one thing, This is my 3rd stay there in less than a year, and it always felt like chatroom/lounge bar have sub-standard service, Last time I want to order a drink from room service and they told me they can only serve bottled drinks, so I go back to the bar and the person there offer me Beer in a Starbucks coffee cup to take it my room!!!!! and I order a cocktail which was nothing but just a mix of ice and some alcohol, he didn't even shake it properly prior to pouring it, I don't know the name of the person but I can provide the details if it is needed, This time I went to bar and order a drink to have it there, Person look very grumpy and I didn't get any greeting or anything instead a plain WHAT DO YO WANT"

It's a great place to grab a drink! We've stayed at the Westin before. We had drinks and snacks for New year's Eve with the family and watched the fireworks nextdoor, by the Harbourfront. They even had a DJ spinning old school favourites! The staff is friendly and service is good!

Vegan Chickpea fries is delicious.

Gabriel, lezter and Ani gave a wonderful service. I went there for drinks and was very well taken care of. They were very professional. All three of them made time to talk to me and made me feel comfortable. The best drink was coffee and tequila cocktail that they had. I will be back for sure. Thanks a ton for a great experience.

Very disappointed with the food and service here.Table sat down, we asked for water. Server went away and came back asked if we were ready to order.Our Table only received one menu for 6 people to order off of. They left after seeing we were not ready to order and came back after a few minutes and asked if we were ready to order, still not bringing the drinks we asked for.We asked again for the drinks and they came quickly.Food was overly salty, ordered a cheese burger and the sauce on it was very salty making it unenjoyabe.The Calamari for $24 was a very small plate with 12 pieces on it, soggy and tasted like overheated oil.Not worth the value.

Perfect combination of food, drinks and beautiful views. The service was good, I got the cheeseburger and fries, they were delicious!

Stayed in the hotel for work and had dinner in the lounge. Great service and the poke bowl was good but not my favourite, it is nice to have some healthier options on the menu.
