Worst ride of my life. I've been taking cabs for over 40 years, I've never been treated like this by any driver. The driver picked me up at the Vancouver airport. He was already upset as he was arguing with the woman who assign taxis in the line at the airport. I got in told him where I was going. He didn't know the hotel. I repeated and spell the name. Told me to show him on the map. Once I did, he said I didn't know how to pronounce the name! I spell it out! He said I was disrespectful, I replied he was the one who disrespected his clients. He stopped his car at the airport gas station and threaten me to leave me there and insisted I pay in advance even though the meter was running. I refused. He finally drove off. I told him how disrespectful he was with clients . He said he didn't care, there were so many calls he couldn't care less about the clients! Longest 25 minute drive of my life. Never again this company

I shouldn't called them earlier, but they told me on Sunday I would have to wait over an hour for a taxi when the streets were completely melted the Sun was shining and I just found that to be disheartening. I'm from Winnipeg and the people there have no problem driving through way worse conditions than snow that's completely melted off the streets and it's plus six and a huge Fleet of taxis can't get to pick me up for over an hour. I was disappointed because usually they do have good service

I finally understand why people prefer Uber or Lyft and are willing to pay more. Was pick up at the airport and nothing but negative communication. Just because I was going a short distance, he was complaining and swearing he wasn't going to make any money and asked why didn't I tell him first before getting into the cab. Your job is to drive so do it. If you don't like to drive then find another job.If you want to improve your rider ratings then you need to screen your driver's better. Driver with license plate SA-6161 should lose his license. He would be fired immediately if he was working under my company.

Always very prompt when calling taxi, and drivers very nice. My only recommendation as an opportunity to improve customer experience is that to notice where your picking up passengers and drive accordingly. My wife had just had abdomen surgery at BC women’s hospital and being from out of town we needed to take a taxi back to hotel the following day and you’d think the driver would catch the passenger was hurting just getting into taxi and then to not slow a bit hitting speed bumps around hospital at speed so jarring and the hard brakes and acceleration. Was very painful ride for my spouse.

Amazing customer service. Had a 5am emergency with our dog requiring a vet and Uber was taking over 25 minutes! Even having a reg driver tell us to cancel when the pet one was taking forever and we were desperate. Called blacktop and our dispatcher (who sent a cab immediately!) was so kind and patient. Even when my sister called again asking for an eta. Always depended on Blacktop and their service was unmatched yet again! Our driver was also just as understanding and kind, asking what happened and going with the urgency of the situation.

I have used this company for over 30 years. They have always been prompt and fast. I've used them intensely for coming up to six years now, to get me to and from work.Some issues have arisen over the last year over the new automated system they have in place. They are now back to the level of service I expect from them being a customer that uses them 5 days a week. The new system they have that was full of bugs that needed to be iorned out is so much better and easier to use. It stores frequently used pick up address with your phone number. It now propms you to chose the address on file and press a key and it automatically sends a cab to that address and they arrive prompt and faster then when you speak to an operator. I have not waited longer then 8 minutes for a cab to arrive. I will never use any other cab or pick company to get me somewhere on time.This cab company is the best cab company in the region. If you use another service I can guarantee you will not get the as fast as Black Top & Checker Cabs will. I recommend this company and its 100 % then any other.

Was able to get a taxi quickly from Pacific Central Station on a Thurs morning. They had drove us for just over an hour from the city. Driver was very nice and helpful as they provided many suggestions for us on places to visit in Vancouver and cities around. Very appreciative for them to create an postive experience as we were on a train for about 4 days and were tired. Thank you again to the driver!

I was riding my motorcycle down Marine Dr in North Van at around 10:45PM tonight, and cab number PT 204 was tail gating me. I was already doing 60 in a 50 zone. He got dangerously close, then when he finally decided to pass (which he could have at any time, without putting me in danger), he proceeds to pass me, while flipping me the bird. Great representation you have there, Black Top Cabs. Do better.

What happened to a taxi’s customer service? There was a time, not too long ago, where the driver would open the door for you and help you with your bags, even to your front door. Now it’s pretty much a “hi (if you’re lucky)” and a “where to? also if you’re lucky)”. The drivers are more interested in talking on the phone than engaging in basic customer service and yes, a basic “hi, how are you” is customer service. There is no music in the car and it is generally a boring trip. There is the 1/10 driver that will engage in conversation and make the trip more enjoyable but unfortunately, that is not enough.Finally, dispatch and whatever other admin clearly doesn’t care about any comment that is made and often makes the caller the bad person in the situation.I’ve been loyal to blacktop cabs after Uber and Lyft were introduced but those days are numbered.

A disgrace to Vancouver and Canada's polite reputation. The driver was rude, told me at the end of my trip I could have walked and only begrudgingly helped me with my luggage. Would never recommend.
