Sam was a treat to deal with. You can really tell he's been doing this for decades, and is a master of his craft.

I had alterations done to my winter jacket, and he was able to do it quickly, at a great cost and did it a great job. I really enjoy the work done and will definitely go back for other alterations.

I really feel strongly that I was over charged and had terrible service. I left a pair of pumps in their original box with this tailor for him to replace the heels before the holidays. I recieved a call informing me that the pumps were ready for pickup and at that time he made me aware of their holiday hours. Unfortunately for me when I arrived on the specific date that i was told it would be open, it was not. I picked them up today, and to my surprise and dismay the original box was missing. Although he did offer to inquire to it's where abouts, I did find that it was not worth my time to return a third time for a cardboard box. The workmanship appears to be fine, but I find the material was a poor choice. Unfortunately they were an expensive pair of shoes so walking away from a bad job wasn't really an option for me. I find 100 dollars to put two new heels to be excessive. On a positive note, I will in future at another establishment inquire on the process and an estimate cost of the repair. I hope my review alerts people to inquire more before placing an item in their care but to also speak to the cobbler himself that is doing the actual work.

I brought a jacket in to replace the zipper and while his customer service was amazing and he is such a sweet and kind man, I had to wait 3.5 weeks instead of the 1.5 to 2 weeks quoted and when I got the jacket the buttons didnt line up like they used to. Usually buttons on a jacket are covered by the flap that goes over the zipper but now my buttons stick out on the side and are visible.

I brought in a coat I found at a thrift store and Sam completely rebuilt it, tailored to me. He has the eye of a designer. I was blown away. His prices are a bit higher than other tailors, but your paying for quality and care. If you have clothes you really care about or need more intricate work done (not just hemming jeans) this place is where you want your alterations completed.

I brought in a pair of suit pants that needed to be altered as the legs were too wide/baggy. Sam did an excellent job while I was in the shop to help me size the pants properly and determine how much adjustment was required, and it was clear that he is very knowledgeable and experienced. After picking up and wearing the pants, I can say they fit perfectly and I am extremely happy with the work that was done. Sam was very friendly, he knows what he is doing and the finished product is fantastic.

Sam is an absolute genius and at a very fair price. Whether it's Jeans, altering suits or dress pants, he's been absolutely great and always on time. Highly recommend going to A Plus tailors and Sam for a happy end result.

Really nice customer service, he's been around for decades. Not sure who else in the city can repair motorcycle leather. Did an excellent job, repaired early, called to let me know it was going to be ready in the afternoon, stayed late to let me pickup. Couldn't ask for better service.

I recently purchased a used motorcycle one-piece leather track suit that needed alterations done on the leg area, specifically, the thigh area needed to be shortened. Sam said it was going to be a tough task but ensured he would make it happen. After Sam was done working his magic, the suit fit exactly how I wanted. I was amazed at the quality of work/finish because you could not tell anyone made any alterations to the suit. I highly recommend seeing Sam for your clothing alteration/repair needs.
