Romania Country Bread
Nick is the most authentic baker I’ve ever met! He’s chatty and intelligent, and most importantly very generous. The bread is amazing, it reminds me of the bread from my childhood, it is crusty and inside so soft. This is what a real bread tastes like! All the other breads that they sell in supermarkets they all have preservants and they never go bad. Definitely this bakery is a gem in the heart of Steveston. Lucky to live close!

Romania Country Bread
The place had a vibe like no other bakery I every visited. They had a huge furnace and the guy was kind enough to let has us have a close look at it. The options were limited though and the bread was priced on the higher side, hence a 4star review. The bread is soft and I hope it tastes as good as the price tag and makes me change my mind and the review to a 5.

We went there the other day with my dog for a loaf of bread. The owner of the store was really friendly and kind. I like the bread there. It's a bit hard on the outside but it has very strong wheat flavor to it when chewing it. He also gifted us with a small loaf to our dog since it was his birthday. Thank you for your kindness =)

$20 for loaf is insane. Then you eat the bread and it’s honestly boring. The guy working there was agressive and rude. Honestly go anywhere else. You can get way better bread at half the price.

We love the bread! We have bought it a few times. Today will be the last unfortunately $10.00 Is way to much! I understand they need to make a living but sell them 5 to 7 buck and sell triple the amount. They lost customers today when they heard him ask me for the 10.00 .I think its gouging,my opinion but it’s bread!

Although their bread is excellent and comes in kilo-sized loaves, the unit price, never a bargain, is now such that any sentimental faith I had in this merchant has disappeared in a puff of flour dust. I arrived there today gritting my teeth as I prepared to pay C$10.00/loaf. I left, C$40.00 lighter, with the last two loaves I'll buy at Romania Country Bread. Good, but not THAT good.

Finally a bakery that smells like a bakery, with bread that tastes like break.It's a very authentic place, with a passionated baker who knows how to make good bread without all the unnecessary and unhealthy additives you find in other breads.It's might not be cheap but it's definitely worth it.

The Romanian Bread is worth every penny. baked fresh daily and better than every other bread. The baker was also super receptive of us. 10/10 all around. Also did I mention the bakery itself is beautiful? Well it is. All built by the baker himself with some help of course.
