Okay so I am slow to write reviews, but these guys just left my house and I am so happy to have had a service person a) show up on time b) take immense pride in their work, and c) have a super pleasant demeanour, that I am writing as their van pulls away. Everything was perfect and if the world could clone this little crew for every job from this one to, I dunno, running a company, we'd all be happier consumers. Thank you Smitty's for 100 star service from scheduling to completion. :)

Avoid this business....was charged a ridiculous amount for a woodstove install that was botched. Leaked incessantly and never repaired to our satisfaction (still leaking). Turns out they cut the hole too big. The entire experience has been awful and very unprofessional. They are supposed to be Master installers". They obviously are not in my opinion... They also stopped any communication. We were not treated well at all ..."

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE 5 STARS I WOULD.THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF.I am not one to write reviews, but I do not want someone to get ripped off like I did.I called Smittys to get a WETT inspection done, and they stated i had to have a sweep done first, no big deal. booked. $326 for a chimney sweep, also fine. Then the appointment for the WETT CERT i was told to pay $338 which included the service call to tell me what needed to be corrected, and included the follow up that all work was completed and a WETT CERT.I had a change of plans for heating, and am not going forward with the stove, smittys follow up or having the WETT CERT written up and they wont give me a refund for that portion. so its $338 for a 15 minute service call... I tried explaining that i have paid for the sweep, ill pay for the initial service call from the master wett cert guy but i want a portion refunded as not all work included for the $338 was completed. TOTAL RIP OFF.Also to clarify i called around and many other companies are charging $150 for a WETT CERT and if you don't go ahead and get it fixed they only charge $90 for a service call not the whole $150. CALLING THE OTHER COMPANIES JUST PROVES THAT SMITTYS IS RIPPING PEOPLE OFF.
