Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Kanata

Great space, kids love their swim time, no matter who the instructor is. I do wish the classes we’re a bit longer (maybe 40 min to count for time spent getting in and out of the pool). We had to cancel several classes in winter, so I have a bunch of make up classes to run through. I’m using those and booking them in back to back classes, and I find that their progress is better when they do two classes in a row. Great instructors, everyone is friendly, change rooms clean, coffee on the house for me. It’s a win all around.

We started swimming lessons for our 4.5 and 2.5 year old a few weeks ago and we are blow away by how much they have learned already. The staff at Aqua-Tots Kanata have gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to help our younger child transition to lessons without a parent in the water. The facility is wonderful and we love all of the family friendly change rooms, we never have to wait for a stall after our lessons are finished. 10/10 would recommend!

We have been taking lessons with the amazing Julia. We started when our baby was 4 months old. She is very knowledgeable and really gives you the right tools to succeed. She really cares about her swimmers and she is always so excited when they meet their milestones. She is the best! We appreciate the friendly staff, the beautiful warm pool and the large change room. Thank you Aqua-Tots for teaching our baby how to swim and feel confident in the water! :-)

Consistency among teachers is mind blowing. All are very well trained and very good with young children. Making my our children comfortable to get in the water no matter who’s instructing the class. They all understand the level your child/ren is/are at and they ensure to reinforce and teach the skills they need to be ready for the next level. They give you feedback at the end of ever class so you know where your kiddo is at and where you can help them develop. They also update their progress in the app!!! Additionally the flexibility to pick up and drop classes in the app makes our lives sooo much easier!The crayon corner is a brilliant addition for when our kids class times don’t match up perfectly. And the coffee station is a nice touch for the parents. The waiting area is huge and comfortable and even at midday on a Saturday doesn’t feel overcrowded and you always have a seat to watch your kiddos from.I’m also impressed with how often they mop the floors to try and keep it as dry as possible in a pool changing room. Plus the “dryer” that spins the wet clothes before you stuff them in your branded bag (which they gift to you on your first day)The blow dryer, hair detangler , lotion, hair ties etc are all just sprinkles on the iced cake!We love it here!

My son has been going there for almost 2 years now and the experience has been great! The team is very accommodative and friendly. A big shout out to some of their coaches who are extremely professional and amazing with the kids. Coach Julia and Coach Elaina have always been there for my son!! They both are very talented and are just amazing with the kids. The giggles just never stop :) Julia has a way with the kids, she makes all the classes very fun and interactive. No frowns in sight throughout the whole class. Thank you Aqua-tots team!

We got a one month gift card for aqua tots and loved our first session! Looking forward to our subsequent lessons and will definitely extend in the future. The app is great too.

Update:Aquatot did reach out to us and have offered some resolution. We are monitoring the progress byt have upped the rating based on the fact that business is ready to address customer's concerns and make effort to rectify problems.*************We have had a very dissapointing experience so far at this facility as they are really all about making money. My kid has been going here for more than a year and the pace at which these guys are teaching would probably take another 3 years before she can swim independently. For around $142 per month, you get 4 classes of 30 mins each but what is worse is that each instructor has 4 kids in each class and they actually end the classes 2 mins before so essentially, 28 mins class which means 7 mins per kid. They also have a progressive evaluation process for different levels where they assign certain percentage for every class that the kids attend but they deliberately slow down the progress for kids so that they can make kids stay as long as they can at same level.The only reason, I give two star is for the facility, nice staff and flexible booking system. However, if you really want your kid to learn to swim, this is not the place.

Nice facility and easy for parents to view the lessons. Staff is very friendly and instructors are engaging. Small class sizes and love the make up lesson options. Lots of good things about aqua tots!

Hands down a great swimming school! We have tried others, but had very little progress and fear of getting face wet. Within 2 classes at Aqua-Tots my kids enjoy going under water, have made great progress and are excited to go to swim lessons every week. Not to mention the friendly staff, comfy chairs and colouring station for kids while waiting for class.

We have been with Aqua Tots since they were newly opened in September of 2021. My son has graduated 2 classes and has gained so much confidence and skills in the water while attending our weekly classes. The staff are above and beyond friendly and know my son by name each week as they greet you into the building. The communication, progress reports and feedback go above any and all expectations. My son has been with a few different coaches during make up lessons, but primarily loves his classes with Avro-which we have grown a relationship with as well. She is caring, kind and has a great fan base of littles waiting to see her each class! I’ve referred many friends who have now signed up and are equally as pleased. We love Aqua Tots!
