Shane is exceptional at what he does, you can tell he loves his works. I gave Shane a brief of what we wanted along with some photos of what I had in mind, the project was to convert the existing home into a more modern and open plan style and Shane with the first draft hit the nail on the head and had us blown away. I spent money on other people before approaching Shane but they did not gasp our concept and we had to move on. We are delighted we crossed paths with Shane and couldn't recommend him enough, a true gent and pleasure to work with and extremely talented at what he does.

We had the pleasure to work with Shane prior to the pandemic on a project involving the creation of a 40m2 extension and redesign of our small cottage's indoors plan. Shane was very good at listening to our ideas and proposing a realistic plan whilst taking account of tight constraints and without compromising the overall design. Whilst delighted with our extension, our house as a whole works a lot better - it's transformed! The extension, while clearly separate, doesn't look out of place, which was important for us. Overall we're delighted!

I contacted Shane when I was planning an extension and renovations to my kitchen and living area and from the very start, he was obliging, personable and helpful. He had a wonderful sense of what was needed and also what would work. And this was all via e mail and photo sharing! I live in Dublin and yet Shane knew precisely what I wanted. He is totally on top of his game, knowledgeable and professional. For personal, family reasons, I have decided to postpone any work to my house and Shane has been so understanding about that also. Why did I even chose an architect in another city to the one I live in? My daughter is married to a Limerick man and Shane was their architect when they were renovating a mid 20th century house in the city. He did an amazing job! They now live in an extended and renovated house which is stylish and modern and are delighted with Shane's design, which as well as maximising the potential of the existing house also included retaining some of the original features and finding solutions wherever there were challenges. Lovely work Shane.

Shane (SONARC) came highly recommended and after our interaction with him I can see why. We have been 6 years in our home endlessly debating how we would fix the existing layout and/or extend to provide a home that would suit the needs of a family with young children. After already meeting with two architects, we still felt lost. However, after a brief meeting with Shane (and sharing pictures and a video of the house), he returned with several sketch designs to allow us to pick and choose from each one. This resulted in us finally landing on a solution that met our needs while provided options we hadn’t originally thought of. Shane is excellent at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an architect.

Shane O'Neill is hands down the best!!! He is talented beyond words and is a pleasure to work with. Our house has turned out incredible. Shane responds to every call or email almost immediately which makes the stress of building or remodeling so much easier. His depth of knowledge in every aspect of building is clearly evident. Shane has both the artistic vision and the practical knowledge every project needs. This house was about to fall down when we purchased it and is now a beautiful and comfortable family home due in no small part to Shanes vision. I hope to do more projects and I will always use SONARC!!! Five stars all day!!!

Both my wife and I have only great things to say about Shane. His work is of the highest standard and all carried out in a professional manner. He is very helpful and made everything as painless as possible for us all the way through the process right up to dealing with the granting of the planning permission. We made a huge change in our design many months into the process, and Shane liased with our new designer to optmize the plans to get the very best for us.
