Sushi Taku
First time ordering from here and was amazed with service and the food was so good!!! Sushi was all fresh and the sashimi were huge. Great value and will definitely order again. The part I love is the pieces don’t fall apart when you pick it up.The only thing I have to say is they give you paper bags so with a large order it is hard to hold. I wish there were handles on the bags to carry.

Love finding a local eatery that is tasty, friendly, and good value. There are only four tables, we called and they said we should be ok in 20 mins and they had one ready for us. The service was super attentive and warm. We had miso, a sashimi combo, the mango special roll and a mix of maki. The sushi was fresh. Fish was soft and rice was perfect. Room was air conditioned which was nice on such a hot evening. Parking can be challenging but otherwise a near perfect meal.

They have a nice, diverse menu and their sushi quality is quite good. Their service has been prompt and efficient for the majority of the time. I usually grab take out and the order has always been ready at the pickup time.I wish they had online ordering as well to save time when in a rush, although I haven't had to wait when I've called them yet.Sushi is fresh and flavourful. It may not be the cheapest but you can see the quality of ingredients so this place is a nice change from other sushi places which may be more budget friendly but lack a bit on the quality column.In the end this place is worth trying.

An unassuming little restaurant close to Joyce skytrain station. Service is great as staff is very attentive, even when all tables are occupied.Great portions for great price. Ordered Chicken Teri Don and 8-piece Salmon Sashimi; total was $25 including tax. The sashimi are thickly sliced, and the chicken Teri don had a nicely sized teriyaki chicken on plenty of rice. Definitely bigger in portion than most restaurants (even food court), but at a decent price

Its small store, you might not even notice it, if you look somewhere fancy have great decoration, you should look other place, but I am more into the food itself. Because It's small so limited tables, but only wait for 20 minutes, they are fast! After order not even 5 minutes all dishes served, everything delicious, and the price is unbelievable. If you live close by suggest take out, but i enjoy eating here as well. Sashimi great quality, shrimp tempura hot and sweet. Wish they have good business forever.

Sushi Taku is a small, Japanese run neighbourhood sushi spot.The inside is small with 5 tables (15 seats). Lots of takeout orders. Service is friendly.Bento boxes are only available weekdays (11:30am to 2:30pm). Note: they close for a break between 2:30pm to 3:00pm.Trip #1- Ebi sunomono ($5.25)- Chicken karage ($7.95) - takes ~10 minutes to prepare but worth the wait.- Beef yaki soba ($12.25)- Mango mango roll ($10.50)- Salmon sashimi ($14.50 for 8) - good portion size, especially for the price.- Negitoro roll ($4.75)- Spicy chopped scallop roll ($5.75)- California roll ($4.50)Trip #2- Scallop tataki roll ($11.25)- Negitoro roll ($4.75) - tuna and green onions are oddly not mixed together.- Oshinko roll ($3.25) - lacked a crunchy texture, no pickled taste.- Deluxe assorted sashimi ($28.95 for 22) - best pieces were the saba and toro. I liked the regular salmon (fattier, better bite) over the sockeye salmon. Found the tako watery.- Spicy agedashi tofu ($6.25)- Sunny roll ($9.95)- Spicy chopped scallop roll ($5.75)Nothing will blow you away at ST but decent value. 3.5 stars.

Great sushi near Joyce station.Came here for lunch with a friend, tried the gyoza and lunch sushi special. Good value for the quantity, loved the gyoza too although my friend would have liked some more garlic flavor in the gyoza.The vegetarian sushi (avocado, veg) was good, and I would come back here again, especially for the lunch special. We also got complementary tea which was nice, and were greeted warmly by the server.Enjoyable experience, would recommend.
