Rocky Bakery & Deli

There was an older lady working today when me and my family went in. We ended up getting a few small boxes of baked goods to share with the family back home. I was helped by an older lady who definitely either had extreme allergies or was sick. While packing up my box, she was hovering over it at the counter to count each item into the till. Her nose was running so much that it dripped on the box. Hard to tell if anything dripped inside the box but not exactly happy with my chances. She noticed the drop on top of the box and tried wiping it off with her hand. Easily could of been fixed by offering a new box of baked goods, wearing a mask if sick (or in general because you work in food,) don't go to work if sick, or at least asking me if it's ok that you are dripping on my box. It's sad because this place has great bakery goods and it shows in the reviews. Unfortunate interaction and won't be coming back.

Great neighborhood bakery. Excellent selection of donuts, pastries and cupcakes. If you love sweet treats, you need to visit.

There is very fre words to describe the positive things about this bakery. They are SO nice and always have top notch products. I LOVE The people and the food is PHENOMENAL!!

Husband bought a loaf of sour dough bread and some cupcakes for my birthday yesterday, the bread is delicious, the cupcakes however... are much to be desired. 3 of the flavours were ok but nothing special, the carrot one was dry and the red velvet had a very strong taste of mold. My dad took a bite and spit it out. I too tried it and, sure enough, a very pungent taste of mold. I'll be contacting the bakery when they open.

I ordered a black forest cake and it was delicious! Very moist and a good amount of cherry filling.It looked very pretty too. I wish I had taken a picture. The new management are great too! They took my order after the bakery closed and had it ready the next morning.

What we ordered and what we got! $70.95 for the cake on the left.Thanks to Sobeys for saving my sons birthday. This cake just went to waste.Don’t waste your money. I miss the old management. This is ridiculous! I feel so bad for my son. They didn’t write down the order correctly. They messed up the first cake so we had to bring it back and then I picked this up.The order I placed was not over the phone. It was in person where the correct spelling was given. Kristina was the original person who sold us the cake and she was trying to double charged us for a custom cake when I picked this cake up. If I didn’t have my receipt, she would’ve charged me the custom cake price.My issue is, we came into the bakery on June 2nd and made the order for pick on June 29thThey called us June 28th and said the cake was ready but when we picked it up, the name was misspelled, the cake was not baby shark, it was a random design of chocolate.We did everything we were supposed to do, right. We paid ahead of time, we ordered ahead of time to give them time to make it. We gave this bakery more than enough time to get the supplies they need for our order. We didn’t even end up eating the cake because I didn’t want it pictured in our memories.

We ordered cake pops for our daughters wedding, pictures to go with it and what we received was nothing short of a disaster. It was nothing like we requested. Instead of receiving a professional apology and a true discount, we were offered a free bunt cake for another upcoming event, for what we received we were hit with the worst unprofessionalism and attacks via email by the owner/baker of the bakery. This was a wedding, not a party we can do over again. We were so open to discussing a true discounted price per their lack of one not knowing how to make cake pops and two for not even coming close to what we requested. The lack of empathy and unprofessionalism from this bakery and as it was stated to us they don’t want us as a customer and do not need our referrals. So here is our referral.

A small, but great, bakery in the central area of Rocky Mountain house. We came here twice during our short stay in the town. Prices are really good for the tasty treats!
