Absolutely brutal customer service from who I assume is the owner. The cashier was lovely. The owner insisted we purchase a toy frog my son was carrying because he had given it a kiss. Extremely rude customer service. Don't let your kids touch anything or you will be forced to buy it. Very covid heavy.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Bruce Peninsula, Manitoulin Island, Owen Sound, Wiarton, and other such local areas in Ontario, the Reader’s Haven Book Store in Tobermory has an excellent (and unique) collection of books about local areas near Tobermory. Whether it be be about bird species in the Bruce Peninsula, a guide to Bruce Trail hikes, canoe and kayak routes in and around the Georgian Bay and/or Lake Huron, or if you’re looking to learn more about the history of the shipwrecks that made Tobermory what it is today, the Reader’s Haven Book Store is sure to have everything you need.

We're long time customers who always enjoy our visits to the Book Store. Susan and her staff are friendly, kind and courteous. The gifts in the shop are very unique. We especially love the coffee and atmosphere. We recommend this place to everyone!

A nice little book shop with souvenirs and other random things. Small selection of boardgames is cool too. As well as snacks/treats. Staff were friendly.

Very rude customer service. I had to show multiple IDs just to prove to the cashier that I’m of legal age to buy scratching tickets. They never ID me in LCBO! Made me look bad in front of others. She was really nice to my white friend, don’t be racist! English is my 4th language. I might be not that good at it but I’m Canadian citizen!

A delightful bookstore in Tobermory, Ontario. Has new and used books. Also a section of Canadian authors( I live in United States). Books of all subjects. The owners are a mother and daughter. Definitely worth visiting when in Tobermory. Photo is a collection Alexander McCall smith ladies detective agency books.

Great little shop - it was closed for the pandemic, but a staff member came outside with a little box of the most common souvenirs for perusal. Bought a couple of very cute (and reasonably priced) magnets and postcards. Very friendly service, and would love to visit again when its reopened.

Well we entered the store because someone told us they sold coffee as well. The first thing the owner/Manager yelled was hi can you put hand sanitizer on your hands. Masks are a mandatory piece of cloth that doesn't work but whatever the view customer service is our the window. Whatever happened to hi welcome, wow where are you from. I felt like I was in a bookstore emergency room. Didn't like the authoritarian style greeting or attitude of the workers. My recommendation is save your money and look at other shops where you live there is a great bakery and another restaurant that sells coffee. Not worth visiting until they get their business savvy back and look at the fact that your customer is your business. If they were more customer oriented rather than pushing the fear on people I may have looked around. I bought other tourist items in other stores. Tobermorey otherwise is a beautiful place. My grade here is a D.

Great little store with lots of books and some souvenirs. I was able to buy some postcards and a laminated Ontario map (who knew they still make those lol). But my favorite was the popcorn. And they also sell lottery. Always fun buying lotto tickets on vacation.
