I came here for the first time to get a set of gel nails about a week ago and to this day, my gel nails were still intact. I was hesitant at first because of these other reviews that I’ve seen here, but I had no problems whatsoever and that’s saying a lot because I consider myself as a picky person! Pricing was decent here, the staff were welcoming and they took their time! Overall, my experience here was amazing!

I went there for my first time and I asked for coffin and he said we only do square or rounded, so I was a little disappointed. It was hard to understand what he was saying and he would respond with huh every time I asked him a questions. It is clean, but they aren’t very social and keep quiet. He did my nails and they weren’t the best. Prices are ok. I don’t recommend this place, Newcastle has another nail salon called pedi and nails and it is way better then this place.

Good pedicure. Asked for French manicure, half way through the process their machine didn’t work and they could not paint properly. Asked to switch to different design they said they cannot do it. Then i had to go with a basic design.

I have been getting my nails done here for a while now and will never go anywhere else! I always get a shellac mani and pedi here and they always turn out nice. Great pricing and wonderful staff! Highly recommend.

Worst experience I've ever had. Did not charge me for a gel nail" top coat when I asked for gel nails and went in with gel nails on. I went to pay and the whole color shifted and in had already paid and tipped. I explained nicely that they must need a different coat of actual gel after arguing with me for 20 minutes he decided to place a different top coat. After he was finished he did not clean the excess fell off my skin or around my nails causing it to crack off. Not happy. I will not go back here ever and do not recommend you going here. Drive to bowmanville. It's worth the gas."

I had been here for a full set, was not sanitary once so ever, does not wear gloves while doing nails and has dirt u set his nails, he cut around my nails with the tool causing blood. They re use their nail files on people.My “ coffin shape “ nails are not coffin shape, the nails are all bumpy and sideways, I have been in prior and same thing happened, I gave them another go and same thing… when I tell them a nail is not straight he tells me it’s my finger.I don’t recommend this nail salon.

I’ve gone multiple times, none of which were good, but thinking I should give them another chance since it’s a small town and everyone deserves another chance.Terrible service, terrible services. The owner is rude.This most recent time I was there for a pedicure; I needed one, my feet were dry and rough. They didn’t even exfoliate to get the clearly visible dry skin off. When I questioned the fact that they hadn’t actually done anything they said it was because my skin was so dry. Yes, it is dry, that’s the point in having a pedicure?!The owner then got another exfoliating sponge out, covered my foot in the exfoliation chemical gel and aggressively and roughly and carelessly (which was painful) scrubbed my feet more. A little of the dry skin but a lot of the healthy skin as well. When I said it hurt and moved my foot he kept doing it. He gave them a half rinse, leaving the fell on my feet and poured oil on them. So now the healthy skin is raw where he did it, and the pedicure is still not complete.Awful.Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I’ve been going to Dr. Nail since it has been opened. The staff are friendly and quiet. I have never had a bad manicure or pedicure from this place. They always use gloves. I have had the owner and now her daughter doing my manicure and pedicure and I’m very happy with both. The place is extremely clean and well kept. I can’t believe some of these postings. I honestly think they have the wrong shop.

Great service and friendly staff! Really enjoyed getting my nails and feet done. Will be back!
