Cardboard Classics

Cardboard Classics is a great spot to play board games like Magic: The Gathering, and it provides tables and utilities for free! The place is rather small, but can accomodate a large party of people. The store itself has very insightful staff who give tips, and the store has a large collection of cards and other board games to buy and play. Overall, perfect place to play a board game, free of charge!

I’ve always driven by this store and seen the big sign, but only recently went in to check it out. They have a great selection of Pokemon card singles. The staff are very friendly and willing to look up lots of prices for cards. Also recently was able to pick up some prerelease Brilliant Stars at a great price!

i've lived in Thornhill all my life and I didn't know this gem existed. Decent stock, single selection is typically pretty good and the prices are competitive.Sadly no singles stock posted online however, they say it's coming soon so hopefully that happens!Staff is always friendly too :)

Came in on a quiet day off in the afternoon to finish up my Minsc & Boo MTG edh deck; I provided a list of 23 cards and they were able to find all of the singles! They have a great selection just make sure you have the sets , finish and name of the cards. Also was super honest about the condition of one of the cards; I highly recommend them

I almost never submit Google reviews but felt that this was warranted. Would give 0 stars if possible. I went to check out their variety of Pokemon singles as they are not listed in their website, which is fine because in-store shopping is always better, except at this store. Every time I would ask to see a card, he would let out a huge sigh that could be heard across the entire store. On top it that, it seemed as if the worker was downright unqualified to handle appraising cards after I had taken interest in a card that had 3 large creases that goes through the front and back and can be felt through a penny sleeve, a pea sized black spot that was clearly a result of being damaged and severe whitening on the back and corner damage but yet had the audacity to tell me it’s only moderately played. He told me ‘It’s not enough to be considered damaged’. I spoke with multiple employees there and I felt as if throughout all the encounters I was being disrespected with pettiness and constantly given the cold shoulder. Unsure what I could have done to warrant this treatment but I would not recommend going to this store.

Great variety and prices!The staff was super friendly and really know their stuff. I was looking for a specific game, and the employee was able to tell me they had it in stock without having to check.I would definitely recommend a visit for anyone who likes board games.

Purchased a Warhammer set online that wasn't available in my city on the other side of Canada. They updated when the package was shipped and on the day it was supposed to arrive. Everything went smooth, would recommend!

Although not as big as other collectible stores, there is a great selection of cards and games. We can always find what we are after. Great place for Pokemon, Magic, or D&D gamers. If you are in the market for some new board games, check out this hidden gem in Thornhill.

That is an instant 5-star review for the store's name.All jokes aside, I really liked the huge amount of singles they have, ranging from base set/1st edition to the current sets. I'd bet on this store to find singles you want as a collector compared to other stores.Staff here are very friendly and assisted me the entire hour I was there. I'd visit here alot more often if I know how to drive. Enjoyed our conversation, hope to see y'all soon!
