Eastern Point Trail

“Mini Green Gardens”… you don’t need the 11km version and can see all of the same views in less than 2km! 145 steps on the staircase up, then an easy walk- grassy, partially boardwalk. The views are incredible.

Amazing views - we only had time (and legs) for this trail in Trout River and it did not disappoint. After the walk up the stairs it was smooth terrain and board walks most of the way. A babbling brook, small waterfalls off the cliffs and picturesque views of the harbour were awesome. Would recommend for all abilities due to the short distance and beautiful scenery

Get a beautiful view on Trout River and get up the stairs. Those are actually not that bad and if you need a break there are benches so you sit down, catch a breath while enjoying the view. Once up there it’s just fantastic!!

Very scenic trail in Trout River. Much shorter than the Green Gardens Trail and has similar scenery. We did Tablelands, then did this trail after lunch which was just right. Park on the left before the bridge where there is space for 5 cars. Walk over the bridge, you can see the trail leads between a house and garage before you see the trail info board. A few steps before you reach the top, with several rest stops/viewpoints on the way. The trail wanders through some coastal Meadows and scrub trees with several boardwalks for the boggy bits. Eastern point offers great views of Trout River to the south and the craggy shoreline to the north. Overall, a nice trail and well worth your time!

Cute point of view. Only takes 10min to go up. U see the bay and the ocean.

This walk has many stairs to get to a plateau where you will encounter grazing sheep.Follow the trail to the end to see beautiful views of Trout River and the lighthouse side where the Old Man and Lighthouse trail is located. The description of the trail at the bottom of the trail states that it is 1.2km, but that is likely one was only.

A really great trail that gives you a taste of town and coastal views as well as pastures and streams and forest! Other than the stairs at the beginning it is pretty flat and easy.

Beautiful sandy beach, but it could use a bit of community effort in some cleanup
