Elmvale Jungle Zoo

Great time at this zoo! Plenty of shaded pathways so the kids can have a break from the sun, but try to come in the a.m. so that you aren't walking in the hot sun and the animals are walking around closer to the fence when they aren't too hot. Some animals past 1pm were already hiding in the shaded enclosures. Enclosures are very spacious and animals look very happy and healthy. Pro tip: bring your own bananas apples and carrots to feed to the animals because they're expensive at the gate.

Very good, maybe even better than the Toronto Zoo. The animals are clean and there is no animal smell. I was there for the second time and I do not regret it.

Awesome zoo for kids as you get to see lots of animals up close. You also get to feed so many animals including giraffes!! kids will love it

This is our second visit to Elmvale Jungle Zoo and we enjoyed our visit again. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the facilities were clean. We really enjoyed being able to feed the giraffes and other various animals.

Took our granddaughter. The animals were lively and playful. The zoo is just the right size for little kids, she was able to walk by herself. Highlight was being able to feed the animals. They sell a small bucket of fruits and vegetables that you can give the animals. The animals look well cared for and the seem to enjoy the attention. The white tiger even posed close to the fence. The only drawback was a lack of food availability but it did not impact the experience and there is a great little food truck on the corner 2 minutes away. It's a great place for a family day trip.

Interestingly enough, we didn't expect this zoo to be as big as it was. There were so many African animals that we did not expect to see... There's a large space for the bisons, so we did not get to see them up close.As far as how the animals are being treated, it's a zoo, so there isn't much I can attest to, when it comes to that.I do think there are some kids that get aggressive when the Giraffes are closer to the fence, so maybe keep them a little further away like the Zebras.Overall as far as zoos though, it was a good time for myself and the nieces, so hopefully it's a good time for anyone going. I'll add the weather was great on the day we went, so there weren't any issues seeing the animals up closw

Great place to visit and see animals. It took us about 2 hours to walk through and see all of the animals. There is NO FOOD for humans. The snack bar is closed and you are not allowed to re-enter so pack a lunch/snacks. There are little buckets of food you can purchase to feed the animals.

Great little zoo, you can get up close with some animals and the birds are talkative. Takes 2-3 hours to see everything.There is no food on site, but they let you bring your own and there are picnic areas.

This zoo is amazing a complete different experience than Toronto Zoo that we always go. It is worth the drive, the zoo has way more animals than I expected and you have the chances to go up close to the animals and feed some of them!Price is good and all the staff is friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who’s into animals.

We had a great time at the zoo! Lots of different animals. Some of the enclosures could use a little sprucing up and decluttering but overall the animals seemed to be more or less in good spirits.
