I will give 4 stars for this restaurant which cooked by chef students. They made a pretty good job on all the dishes what I had. The whole experience was excellent. I highly recommended this restaurant to encourage the students (who would love to become a kitchen chef in the futur). And the price is ridiculously super affordable!!!!

Absolutely phenomenal and one of Montreal’s hidden gems. 3 course lunch for $21, dinner for $22, Run by a head chef and culinary students with a changing menu for lunch/dinner every week.So glad we discovered this place. After going for lunch, we booked a reservation for dinner the next day!!The lobster roll appetizer and halibut main were amazing! Steak could’ve used a little more salt but otherwise pretty good. Not sure if this will be around in other weeks, but the Lemon pistachio tart is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!!

Top notch meal for pennies on the dollar. It’s a college that prepares exceptional food. Try to get a reservation. If your lucky, you’ll have an exceptional meal. The servers are learning, so just be patient.

You can not complain with such a good price! The food is ok-good with excellent service! If you want to try mid-high end French cuisine for an abordable price, this is the PERFECT place!

We were a table of 5 and we were so lucky to get a reservation. Food was excellent and we were so happy to see fancy ingredients on the menu: sea bass, chanterelle, scallops, etc. The presentation was so creative. My favorite dish was the beef tartare, absolutely a delight served with hazelnuts and a poached quail egg. Excellent service by all the staff. They are so professional you wouldn't even know they were students! Can't wait to come back!!

The environment is quiet and the service is very good. Thanks to la Classe , my friend and I enjoyed the meal. The orange flavor of the appetizer was a bit strong and overpowered the duck, and the arugula was the finishing touch. I really, really enjoyed the passion fruit dessert, it was really good!

Everyone was very friendly.Otherwise.. just, an odd experience overall. Wasn't sure what I was supporting... student chefs are practicing their cooking skills, and their finished products aren't wasted by being served to paying customers? If that's the goal, then I'm glad I could support not wasting of food, and the education/practice of learning chefs. But just how everything was done... like the utensils being used to serve the food by the chefs/students, unpredictable portions being served, how things were served on plates where certain things would have a lot of liquid so it would mix with other food on you plate (ex. Mediterranean salad liquid mixing w/ the shrimp salad, salmon, etc.. and the food itself.. just not really inspiring. Kind of felt like basic recipes, no surprises or twists. Salmon was bit overcooked/dry. Gravy/Au Jus wasn't great. Desserts were.. awful. Panna cotta did not set at all, so it was soupy. Something (w/ apricot?) on a sponge cake, my wife thought it was a joke because of how hard the sponge part was.. Banana foster, not good. Decor was... Idk I guess I was expecting different based on google/website pictures. Kind of felt/ was like a small cafeteria in the basement of a corporate office building. No diet soda available. Seemed like noone was there to really take charge, students were just not trying to mess up serving the food.Kind of pricey for what it was, I think it came out to $70-something for two people for dinner, with 2 cappuccinos... in theory not expensive at all for a dinner (that was supposed to be a 3-course but was changed to a buffet" on arrival)

Came here for MTL à Table, price fixed menu at $35. Overall a nice meal at a great price, service was attentive and friendly, and four courses for the price was ambitious.Detailed dish review below!Courses:0) Homemade bread was good, green onion butter made it even better! (8/10)1) Lobster Bisque was okay (6/10)2) Scallop and blood pudding with pear butter (pictured below). This was by far my favourite dish, well seasoned and balanced flavours. (10/10)3) veal scallopini was on the chewier side, had a hard time cutting it with the provided dinner knife. Flavours so-so, but the gnocchi was really nice. My partner got the salmon brioche, they said it was too salty and still had bones. I would try one of the other dishes if you go. (4/10)4) white mousse dessert was nice, so was the cake which came with a fun flavoured berry sorbet. (8/10)

Amazing price, excellent food and great service. The restaurant is inside Lasalle college building. The colliery students work with their professors to create very elegant and delicious food.Hotel management and other students try their best to serve you to their best. One orders a complete meal, starter, main course, dessert and tea/coffee with an unbelievably low price. (I’ve never seen higher than 22$ per complete meal)They change the menu every couple of weeks and there’s always something new to discover.
