Amazing Kung-Fu school! Our 6.5 yo son has enjoyed it immensely and it has been great to see him grow and develop his skills with Sigung Dave and the entire staff. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Keep up the great work!

The Waterloo Kung Fu Academy was our top choice after researching which martial arts facility to join in the KW area. The Academy is very welcoming and helpful for students starting a new discipline. The instructors are excellent teachers and the student/instructor ratio is better than any thing we have seen before. There is a genuine care for the students and their development. The facility is very clean and professional. My daughter has thrived mentally and physically since beginning her program! I would strongly encourage a visit and would highly recommend this business!

My 9 year old son was interested in taking Kung Fu - primarily because he has always had an interest in Lion Dance but realised that Kung Fu would be a prerequisite. He was less interested in learning a martial art, per se. None the less, we signed him up - and drive twice a week from Guelph to Waterloo for the class. And let me tell you, it is worth every penny (actually the price is incredibly reasonable for what you get) and every minute of the drive because the experience is phenomenal. Sigung (the Teacher of Teachers) Dave and all the Sifu (Teachers) are incredible. I have coached kids soccer, and my son is blessed with an incredible Drum teacher - so I have been the position myself and had the opportunity to see teachers of a very high standard for kids - and let me tell you, Sigung Dave and the Sifu are amongst the best I've ever seen - phenomenal with the kids - lots of individual attention, with a balance towards community and togetherness as well - how they remember all the kids name's too - and what their skill level/learning levels are is absolutely beyond me. They know every child by name, and most of the parents too - which is mind blowing given the explosion in popularity during the last few months. The classes are fun and well structured, and watching my son blossom and become more and more engaged has been an absolute joy - watching his pride at being able to do something new has just been fantastic. Safety and responsibility are taught in a child-appropriate way and it evolves as they learn more and get older. I cannot recommend WKFA enough. If the timing worked out I'd be taking it myself, I was so impressed!

Our whole family has been training here in some form or other for 10 years. The pivot to online classes has been handled so well, with excellent communication, investment in technology and availability of instructors and classes. So impressed at all the work that has gone into that! Not to mention the engaging online/social media community that already existed pre-pandemic, but has been strengthened and improved over the last year.For our high-risk and virtually-schooling family, Zoom Kung Fu has been such a gift. The kids are still getting two classes a week, and before lockdown, we booked an (extra) semi-private class once a week for two kids and one adult, enabling us to return to the kwoon, but limit our exposure risks. The bigger kids were even able to do their gradings in a safe, distanced manner this summer and fall.Our kids are moving up through the ranks, starting as Little Ninjas. We now have a junior, two youths and our littlest will be a Ninja when they turn 4. All of us have found friends and camaraderie as well as fitness and fun. I loved the women-only classes on Friday mornings where I was allowed to bring my small children, and my husband loves the early-morning classes in addition to the classes at his sash-level.We've signed various kids up for dance, gymnastics, swimming and hockey, but nothing else allows the whole family to participate at their own levels and pace. And nothing else has been as affordable!!!! (Love the family discounts! And reasonable cost of uniforms and equipment!)

My daughter and I have been training at WKFA for almost 2 years now and it has been a rewarding and amazing experience. I've seen the self confidence within my daughter grow. The instructors pass on the lessons and values taught in class and help students relate them to real life situations.The welcoming atmosphere from instructors to fellow students and spacious facilities are what make this school top notch.

My family and I have been members of Waterloo Kung -Fu Academy for more than a decade. True martial Art School in every possible ways . The head Instructor Sigung David Moylan fully devoted to the Art of Kung -Fu and always has time to address your concerns and questions. The school is organized , clean and very family oriented . Highly recommend if your looking for a great Kung -Fu school In the area .

Fantastic place for kids and adults alike to learn the art of kung-fu. Excellent instructor's with loads of patience keep things in focus for the younger kids. Couldnt ask for a better group!

The approach taken by the club fosters focus and excellence. After 1.5 years at the club my child is more invested than ever.

An excellent marital arts school with a long history. It has been a part of the Kitchener-Waterloo community for decades and its demonstration team performs regularly.Excellent large facility with incredible teachers. You will often see teachers (black belts) as well as senior brown belts attending the normal classes and then teaching their own class, often on the same day.I've never seen kung fu teachers and students with as much dedication as the ones at WKFA.
