I brought my cat for an emergency visit to this vet location. She had kittens a month prior and due to kittens weaning her nipples got really hard and engorged. I was given meds for her, by injection at visit and the rest I took home to give by mouth. By day 3 her nipples were soft and back to normal. I have been to a couple other vets in the past, but this was the first time I felt like the vet was treating my pet like she was my very own child. It was extremely comforting to me and felt very reassured that my cat was getting the best treatment for her symptoms. I would highly recommend this vet. She is very caring and passionate about her job. I didn’t feel judged or pressured at all. I will be going back to spay my cat and for future needs.

I brought my rabbit Wanda to Huron East Animal Hospital for an emergency situation. All the staff were friendly, helpful and concerned about Wanda's situation. They were able to book Wanda in quickly for an emergency appointment.Wanda was treated with the utmost care and expertise you could hope for. They asked many questions, examined Wanda and came up with a treatment plan, giving me options and pricing, so there was no surprise at the end. The prices for this emergency situation were very reasonable.Dr. Johnson answered all my questions and quelled my concerns, with genuine care for Wanda's health and professional advise. Dr. Johnson even drew me a detailed diagram to help explain the situation. Beyond me being put at ease by the entire staff at Huron East Animal Hospital, Wanda was completely calm while being handled the staff and Dr. Johnson. I think Wanda enjoyed her trip to the vet! The clinic even called me a couple of days later to check and see if Wanda's health was improving, which I thought was such a professional courtesy.I really couldn't have asked for more while going through a rough situation with Wanda. If you are looking for a great team to help your pet with ongoing and emergency care, then Huron East Animal Hospital should be your first stop.

I really enjoy bringing my animal here. The vet is happy, informative and really comes across as caring about the animals. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We don't have plans to switch!

The team at Huron East AH continue to impress me with their professionalism, empathy and care. I trust them implicitly with my bengal whenever she is out of sorts and I can rely on them for expediency and compassion in dealing with every situation. We don’t see them often but they know us by name.

We have several cats that go to Huron and they are amazing! Always friendly and have helped us through some very difficult and tricky situation. The staff is very dedicated to their clients and their humans. We are so glad to have them caring for our cats, and us too.

5 stars! My dog Rocco is quite a handful, but the staff at Huron East treat him amazing, they tolerate his behaviour, and dont even flinch at his aggression. They are so good with my dog. I recommend Huron East to everyone.

I had the worst experience here today. I’m a single mom of one child. My babysitter backed out on me last minute resulting in me having to bring my little one to the vet appointment for my dog. The vet office refused to let me in with my dog because I had A KID with me I could totally understand if I had a friend etc. but it was a child. I had a full on panic attack outside while they took my dog in. She’s my therapy dog. They had no regard about my feelings. I totally get their rules as I work in healthcare and times are still crazy. But there are exceptions to certain things that are out of my control. I now am on the hunt for a new vet clinic. So if you are a single parent or suffer from severe anxiety please don’t use this vet clinic.

I have always had positive experiences with this vet until my last appointment. I have been bringing my 1 year old kitten, Charlie, here since he was 8 weeks old. Due to the pandemic, I have always had to wait in the car during Charlie’s visits. The staff has always told me he was very well behaved and there were no issues. The last appointment was attended by my spouse and he was allowed to go into the office for the first time. Charlie was calmly laying on the scale after being weighed. The staff left the room and returned with a leather Hannibal Lecter-like muzzle to put on Charlie. My spouse asked why and they said they had to put it on him because he has tried to bite in the past. No other measures were explored, nothing suggested to us or even discussed with us before this barbaric procedure was implemented. Charlie was absolutely traumatized! When I was contacted by this office about bringing my other kitten, Charlotte, in for her 1 year check up, I asked about the muzzle. They defended their practice of using the muzzle and indicated that it was a “fear-free tool” that they use for dogs and cats. I called several other vets and asked what their procedures are when an “aggressive cat” comes in and absolutely none of the other vets said they would ever use a muzzle, not even as a last resort, due to the trauma it would cause the animal. I don’t feel that the staff here have proper training and I would caution anyone considering taking their animal here to strongly reconsider. A terrifying experience for poor Charlie!EDIT: I have since obtained Charlie’s full medical records from this vet and nowhere in any document was there any mention of Charlie biting or being aggressive in any way. They mentioned every little detail about conversation I had with the vets and staff and his good behaviour, but said absolutely nothing about him biting or attempting to bite. I believe this vet has a fear of larger male cats, as indicated by another reviewer. This vet also tried to make it hard for me to find a new vet after I left this review. If they cared about animals, they wouldn’t have tried to interfere with my pet’s future vet care. Shameful!
