Cozy, historic setting for a wedding with a piano and nice outdoor spaces for photos. I have Officiated two weddings here and both times the staff were so genuine and sweet. It's a happy setting for a joyful event.

I am currently enrolled in a workshop that takes place at the Inn. The place is bursting with history and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would suggest reading up on the rich history of the Inn and the vital role it played in housing and employing alot of immigrants back in the day. Watch out for the authentic piano and clock that date back to the 1830's and take a stroll around the grounds, there's ways ducks swimming in the river.

We've been driving by this place for many many years. Today, we decided to take a tour as part of the Open Doors, and we were pleasantly surprised. It's quite a little gem of history, and it was interesting to walk through the building and learn about its past. The place inside is much larger than it looks from outside.

Went there to join their Family Day activity. Greeted with the friendly staff and volunteers, offered hearty hot chocolate and warm coffees when we walked in.My 8 and 10-year-old then joined the traditional candy (forgot the name of the candy) making workshop, which they enjoyed a lot. Then, we explored our way up to the second floor, where I joined an mini Irish river dance lesson and my wife and the kids tried out the 19th century games. After that, me and my wife went back down to the lobby to hang around a bit while the kids were finishing up their scavenger hunts worksheet. We finished off with some more traditional handicrafts down in the basement lounge.

A wonderful place to visit. It's a hidden gem of the area. Free admission n guide at the reception. Friendly staff n parking available. The museum is not very big. However, museum gives visitors the opportunity to see how a 19th-century Canadian inn was run from ballroom to bedrooms, with a kitchen and bar. It's interesting to some old furniture's n setting. Opening hour is Wed to Sunday 11am -4pm

This is a beautiful place in the middle of the city to be able to visit to see how life was like in an in 200 years ago. They have free parking on site and it's nice to bring your kids here so they can explore how life was like. Thank you for maintaining this historic building.

We loved our tour at this museum. The lady who guided us was amazing at her job. She really made us comfortable and taught us all about such an amazing heritage spot. The history of Islington Village Mimco" and this wonderful Inn. Even the floors told us a story. Indented from all the visitors since it was built in the 1830s. When a Irish man ran a farm and his wife ran the Inn. Mother's Day visit was so nice."

Shortlisted this 18th century museum from Google and being my interest, planned an visit that was worth it.Located on Dundas Street West, is easily approachable both by ride and bus too. Google pinpointed this place.First impression of this 18th century building presents iconic standout attraction that has withstood decades and now proudly conserved as an ancient heritage value site museum. Locals are proud of this monument and doing their every bit for for both conservation and updation with both local and government assistance.Simplicity outside is well supplemented by the uniqueness of each room, furniture, articles and liveliness still felt that prevailed in those times. The guided tours takes you literally to those bygone era. For our paucity of time, this tour couldn’t be availed but still the museum staff is too courteous, helpful and willingly shared basic information.Leaving you in able hands of tour guide personnel who genuinely details and proudly takes you around both the floors.Presently sharing photos that definitely ignite your imagination and desire to surely visit this 18th century Inn when at Ontario. And spare some time more for the farmers market held each Wednesday from 2 to 6 pm in their premises and a leisure stroll in adjacent Montgomery Meadows.Enjoy.
